Ching Lee

Ching Lee was born on 24 November 1991 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He studied in the Department of Architecture at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), pursuing a master’s degree in Architectural History and Cultural Heritage Conservation in 2016. From 2017 to 2018, he participated in a research project on “Reconstruction of the Ground Plan of Zeelandia City in Taiwan in the Mid-1640s” with his supervisor. His master’s thesis related the 17th-century Dutch Architecture and Urban planning theoretician Simon Stevin’s De Huysbou and its influence. Upon receiving his MA in Architecture in 2018, he pursued his Ph.D. at NCKU. He participated in the exhibition “Settling on the Sandbar: The Fort and City of Zeelandia in the 17th-century Dutch Formosa” at the NCKU Museum in 2021. Ching Lee is currently (2023) a Ph.D. Candidate.
