Since 1906, the Leduc, Nisku & Wetaskiwin Regional Chamber of Commerce has been bringing the region together. Connecting business leaders, owners and employees with dignitaries, not-for-profits and community groups, focusing on a STRONG and sustainable regional economy.
In 2024, we continued to foster a vibrant and engaged membership base of 1,108 total members, reflecting the diverse business community across our region. With a strong focus on connectivity and member success, we welcomed 92 new business members.
We continued to deliver relevant, high-value programming and services, keeping our finger on the pulse of all things business. We hosted eight regional job fairs, helped employers hire and retain employees, and facilitated hundreds of online job postings and monthly features under The Job Connector.
The Spirit of Giving Luncheon and two Business Awards Galas shone the spotlight on 22 dynamic businesses and business leaders in our region who are excelling in their industries and giving back to the community. We hosted another year of the highly anticipated Heels & Holly Market + Luncheon, as well as the Business Expos and Golf Tournaments, offering valuable opportunities for connection, sales and promotion.
Our tourism initiative Discover Leduc Region promotes six municipalities, and in 2024 DLR connected visitors and locals with more than 545 unique assets/experiences and 46 events promoted.
We hosted a successful inaugural Culture & Arts Tourism Symposium with a panel of experts that brought together representatives and businesses from neighbouring regions, further expanding our tourism reach and impact.
Through StartUp Leduc Wetaskiwin Regions and our new Youth Entrepreneur Support program YES-Up we offered resources, education and one-to-one coaching that helped budding entrepreneurs and home-based businesses launch and grow.
These are just some of the highlights in 2024 that have made for a great year of connection including countless meetings and conversations with members. Our momentum reflects the vision and leadership of our Board of Directors, the commitment of our Chamber team, and—above all—the support and engagement of our valued members and business community.

The service agreement between the Chamber and the Leduc Downtown Business Association (LDBA) enabled the team to have a part-time Executive Director, Communications Coordinator, and a Summer Student in 2024. To attract visitors to the Downtown District, the team partnered with community organizations to host events and attended City of Leduc events to share initiatives, events, and information about members. This year, the LDBA received a grant to be a Culture Days host site, where members participated by offering 20+ free community events. With the team’s effort to enhance relationships in the community, the annual Santa Claus Parade received the highest funds for sponsorship to date. Member engagement and marketing efforts were the key to help inspire visitors to view our downtown core as the heart of our community.
