Six summer cable cars in Lech Zürs and Warth

A total of six cable cars are open for you in Lech Zürs in summer and enable numerous mountain experiences in our unique natural landscape.

With the help of the lifts, you can easily reach the starting points for various hikes and enjoy fantastic panoramic views. Our summer cable cars offer a variety of excursions in Lech, Zürs and Warth.

The summer experiences in Lech Zürs am Arlberg will be extended this year with an exciting attraction: the Zug cable car and Balmalp will open their doors to visitors and offer an incomparable alpine experience.

The Zug cable car impresses with its modern 10-seater cabins, which transport guests to the mountain station at an altitude of 2,100 metres in just a few minutes. These cabins also offer sufficient space for mountain bikes, buggies and people with a wheelchair, who can access the Balmalp barrier-free from the mountain station. The Balmalp is known for its inviting sun terrace with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. An absolute highlight is the view of the Zugertal valley and the mountain Rote Wand.

The Zug mountain station is the starting point for many excursion - whether you want an “easy” summit victory on the Kriegerhorn, a leisurely hike to Oberlech or Lech along the road past the gypsum holes or a sporty hike to Butzensee and from there on to the Mohnenfluh, there is something for everyone.

Bowling & library

Fun is not forgotten even in bad weather: Games and sports are provided. Spend an hour bowling with friends in our cosy bowling alley at sport.park.lech. Please book early at office@sport-park-lech.at.

Our library has moved into the new Dorfhus. Books create adventures in the mind. More than 4,400 books are at your disposal. As a holder of the Lech Card, you can borrow the books free of charge.

Mountain experiences with the summer cable cars

Our mountains and the various natural areas are perfectly accessible for families and guests with the summer cable cars. In the Schlegelkopf-Oberlech area, for example, families will find the “Grüner Rätsel-Ring”, a water playground with a petting zoo at the Rud-Alpe, the “Arlenzauberweg” and two new themed trails: “Spielend Wandern” and “Gipsis Rätselweg”.

Discover the fascinating world of the Rüfikopf panoramic mountain with its 360-degree viewing platform, Kästle Mountain Museum and the hidden Monzabonsee. Immerse yourself in the diversity of flora and fauna at the different themed trails around the mountain station. Treat yourself with an unforgettable experience on Friday evenings in July and August, the majestic sunset on the Rüfikopf. And for families, Lech Zürs offers a variety of playgrounds and barbecue areas, including a particularly charming spot high up on the Seekopf in Zürs. Zürsersee with its floating wooden pier and fishing opportunities also awaits you here.

& family adventures

For all our young guests, we are offering an exciting children’s adventure week during the school holidays together with the experienced guides from Arlberg Alpin: Children aged 5 to 14 will actively get to know our nature and discover a new highlight every day:

• Climbing at the Rüfikopf

• Canyoning in the Zugertal

• Horse riding at the riding centre

• Games day in the forest swimming pool

• Archery in Oberlech

The summer weekends (Saturday and Sunday) are all about the family. Together with mum and dad, canyoning or climbing is on the programme.

New themed trails: „Spielend Wandern“ & „Gipsis Rätselweg“

Two new themed trails for families are open up this summer in Oberlech: “Spielend Wandern” and “Gipsis Rätselweg”. On the tour from the Oberlech mountain station through the lower gypsum holes, you can playfully hike through eight stations that help you get to know the nature of Lech Zürs better. The tour continues at the Petersboden mountain station: Equipped with your smartphone and a puzzle map (available online and at the Petersboden cable car), you help a little troll called Gipsi to uncover the great secret of Oberlech. So there’s no longer anything to stop you enjoying a varied hike in Oberlech.

Tip: The two new trails are an absolute highlight of the Green Ring, which will be even more exciting for all our guests this year thanks to the opening of the Zug cable car. Immerse yourself in our fascinating hiking worlds and experience the beauty of the circular hiking trail.

Guided tours: LechErleben

For all those who want to get to know Lech Zürs a little better, we offer numerous guided experiences. In addition to guided hikes and bike tours (Bike Club Arlberg), the LechErLeben programme offers special nature and mountain moments together with locals and local experts: Discover the incredible power of Lech’s mountain herbs, the history of an ocean on the Arlberg or the tour to the Stuttgarter Hütte, where Nepalese specialities are served. Further highlights: Yoga & Pilates in the mountains, the power of the Lech spring water or the stress-reducing effect of the Lech mountain forest.

2 E-bike adventures:

Mondays: Improve your skills: Experience intensive riding technique training that will take your basic mountain biking skills to the next level.

Tuesdays: Practice your skills: Enjoy a breathtaking e-bike tour through the majestic mountain landscape of Lech Zürs.

Stuben: Kaltenberghütte - E-Trial Park - Almwasserpark

Three Lech Card offers await our guests in Stuben:

The mountain breakfast at the 2,089m high Kaltenberghütte is served daily between 9 and 11:15 am. Please note: Reservations must be made the day before at info@kaltenberghuette.at or +43 664/9280636.

A special motorbike takes you over hills, ramps and other obstacles. Skill, accuracy and concentration are required in the E-Trial Park. The first trial course in Vorarlberg could not be more beautifully situated in the middle of the Arlberg mountains. But it’s not just adults who can test themselves here the E-Trial Park is also suitable for children aged 4 and over. 25 minutes are included per Lech Card.

Embedded in the marvellous surroundings in the rear Klostertal valley, the natural swimming pool Almwasserpark is a special experience. Dive in and enjoy the crystal-clear water of the Arlberg.

Forest swimming pool & swimming training

The quietly situated forest swimming pool offers numerous attractions for the whole family: a 25 metre sports pool with diving area, an aquafit pool with attractions such as jacuzzi loungers, waterfall showers, massage jets and air bubble plates. Particularly popular with children: A wide wave slide and the children’s pool. Away from the water, the volleyball court, tennis court and ping pong table offer plenty of fun and variety.

Special for Lech Card users: every Thursday we offer exclusive swimming training for children.

Skyspace-Lech

With the Skyspace-Lech by internationally renowned artist James Turrell, the Arlberg has a walkin artwork that invites visitors to enjoy a unique experience of light and space. The Skyspace light concept is shown during sunset when the dome is open. A fascinating play of colours awaits you. The guided tours every Friday are included in your Lech Card.

New: from mid-July to mid-August: special tours for families

The Huber Hus, dating from 1590, invites visitors to discover rural living and working. The parlour, side room, kitchen and workshop of the Huber family take you back in time. The kitchen from the 16th century is historically the oldest part of the house. Every year, a special exhibition attracts numerous visitors. This summer the exhibition “Blende auf!” will focus on photography in the Arlberg region.

Mobility

With the blue local bus, you can explore the picturesque villages of Lech, Zug, Oberlech, Stubenbach, Zürs and even the neighbouring villages of Warth, Schröcken* and Elbigenalp* in the Lech Valley, in an environmentally friendly way. Immerse yourself in our breathtaking mountain landscape and enjoy unforgettable hikes along the Green Ring or on the Tannberg and don’t worry about the way back! Lech Golf Academy

If you are looking for the extraordinary, you will find it here: In the heart of the wild and romantic Zugertal lies a golf course that only nature itself can create. The 9-hole course follows the course of the Lech river - nestled between mighty peaks and lush meadows.

For our guests with the Lech Card, access to the training facility in Zug is of course included the perfect place to refine your game or to immerse yourself in the world of exclusive mountain golf in a completely relaxed manner.
