This is a proof of the forthcoming volume. Painting, Largesse, and Life: A Conversation with Leah Durner (the "Conversation"), is an extended conversation between visual artist Leah Durner and Dr. Jorella Andrews, Department of Visual Cultures, Goldsmiths, University of London, on Durner's oeuvre from 1983-2018 and its relation to practices and histories of painting in the context of Durner's involvement with phenomenology. The text, images, and live weblinks combine to create a mulit-media document.
The Conversation also works as a companion piece to Dr. Andrews' book, The Question of Painting: Rethinking Thought with Merleau-Ponty (Bloomsbury, 2018). As Dr. Andrews notes, "...as well as reflecting on Merleau-Pontean and painterly themes, [the Conversation] is also deeply phenomenological in its approach. It tells an expansive story of art, philosophy, the ethical, and the political through the lived experiences and insights of one person."
