OUR INDEXES AND DEFINITIONS

AGE INDEX
BY COACHINSIDE
The age index is calculated from the average age of the players used. For the calculation, a distinction is made between trainer stations in the professional and junior football. Coaches with stations in youth football show no value here yet all career. This indicator has a descriptive and not an evaluative function. The value is intended to express the extent to which the coach relies on experienced or young players. This is also contrasted with the age value of the squad in order to be able to better classify the value.

CONSTANT INDEX BY COACHINSIDE
The constant index represents a percentage of how often a coach nominally changes his starting eleven compared to the previous game. This indicator has a descriptive and not an evaluative function. It is intended to express the extent to which a coach has found his formation or rotates players and changes playing positions (basis from the third change to the previous week.) This indicator would be at100%ifnoplayerchangesweremade.

TACTICAL INDEX
BY COACHINSIDE
The tactical index represents a percentage of how often a coach changes his tactical formation compared to the previous game. This indicator has a descriptive function and no evaluative function. It is intended to express how much the coach adapts his game system from match day to match day. This indicator would be 100% if no tactical changesweremade.

OUR INDEXES AND DEFINITIONS

EXPECTATION INDEX
BY COACHINSIDE
The expectation index is calculated based on the current table position as the difference to the expected table position. The expected table position results from the respective market value of the team as of the reporting date 01.07. and 01.09. For youth teams, the historical standings of the last 3 years are used. There is currently no expected value for league cup competitions. The change is converted to a scale from 0 to 10 with thresholds of -10 and +6. This means that if a coach exceeds the expected table position by morethan6places,hereceivesanexpectation index of 10 for the respective season. The Expectation Index updates after each match day.

BY COACHINSIDE
The change index measures the coach’s impact on the game. The effects on the result of the game are recorded on the basis of the goal difference until the next substitution event. In the case of a positive player change, the goal difference is lower than before the substitution, the coach receives +1, in the case of a negative change -1. If the goal difference is greater than +2 or -2, the number of points is weighted as 0.5. If a substitute player scores a goal, +2 points will be awarded. This value is transformed into a scale from 0 to 10, based on a minimum value of -2 and a maximum value of 3. To get a change index of 10, the average value of substitution points per game should be equal to or greater than 3.

CHANGE INDEX DEVELOPMENT INDEX
BY COACHINSIDE
The development Index is calculated on the basisoftheteam’sperformanceinthelast15x league games compared to the team’s performance performance, which is determined on the basis of the previous 50x games as the absolute difference between the two results. The Development Index is a weighted average based on the following calculation: X = Goals conceded * 0,2 + , Goals * 0,2 + , Expected Goals * 0,125 + , Expected Goals against * 0,125 + , Duels won * 0,1 + , Passes to the final third * 0,1 +, Ball wins opponent’s half * 0,075 + , Game intensity * 0,075
