Discover the new alternative for English Language Teaching.

2026

01-23

Leafland is an educational publishing house for English language learning and teaching. We provide comprehensive academic materials enriched by a carefully crafted set of multimedia resources and ready-to-teach lesson plans that take the guesswork out of instruction, giving educators and students the tools they need to thrive through the school year.

02-23

2026

OUR METHODOLOGY IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPLES:

03-23

COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH

CONTEXTUALIZED LANGUAGE

Leafland Learners will be able to express their ideas and needs with meaningful activities and in real-life contexts. Structures and vocabulary will provide students the tools they need to communicate simply yet effectively. Students will practice oral skills and build their communication skills.

Leafland Learners will begin to learn English words and concepts that are related to their own context. Leafland Learners will also know more about the world through exposition and audiovisual resources.

PLAY-BASED ACTIVITIES

CRITICAL THINKING

Leafland Learners will learn through play and self-expression, making language learning feel effortless and enjoyable.

Leafland Learners will be encouraged to become critical thinkers through language exposure and numeracy. Learning numbers in a second language sets the stage for critical thinking. Through language exposure and story analysis, students will answer simple questions, reflect, and have other activities that will allow them to make connections, analyze elements, and develop critical thinking.

LITERACY DEVELOPMENT A principal focus is literacy development. Our program begins with the promotion of pre-reading comprehension skills such as phonic awareness, print awareness, directionality, oracy and vocabulary. Our end goal is for Leafland Learners to be able to become avid readers.

OUR PRINCIPLES IN ACTION: SONGS AND CHANTS

VOCABULARY

Vocabulary is enhanced through fun songs and memorable chants.

In Leafland students will be exposed to high-frequency words to better acquire and understand the language.

STORIES

PROJECTS

Every unit in Leafland's books contains a central story where the values, vocabulary, and grammatical structures meet to tell a compelling narrative students will learn from.

Leafland Learners will have the opportunity to apply the concepts they have learned in a fun project that will allow them to practice and consolidate their newly acquired knowledge.

PHONICS

BOOKS DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS

Phonics practice is central to building the necessary foundations for acquiring the ability to read.

VALUES In Leafland we care about both language acquisition and character development. Students will learn about important values in stories and lessons.

05-23

As an educational publishing house we want to foster the curiosity and imagination of students as they acquire a new language.
