The Chandlery at Port Edgar has been trading, previously as ‘The Bosuns Locker’, since 1980 and is one of the largest Chandlers, Boat Sales and Service Centres in Scotland. We have built a reputation for being one of the best stocked Chandlers in the UK, and if we don’t have an item in stock, we are happy to order anything required.

Top names like Gill, Dubarry, Musto and O’Neill are on offer. There’s technical gear, wetsuits and drysuits, and footwear. It also stocks books, charts, rigging and safety gear.
In 2016 we moved into our new 7,500sq ft retail shop and expanded our retail to offer a range of clothing and accessories from brands such as Schoffel, Fairfax & Favor and Didriksons under the BEACON brand.

Our Boat Sales Office is open 7 days a week and we always have a wide variety of power and sailing boats in stock, both new and used.


We also offer a full brokerage service as well as providing advice on survey, insurance, boat transport and finance options
All of our new boat packages are fitted out by our own factory trained mechanics.

We are main agents for Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda & Mariner engines and are also dealers for Orkney, Maxima & Yamarin Boats and Highfield RIBs.

By Bus: Lothian Country number 43 operates from St Andrew’s Square in Edinburgh to South Queensferry every 20 minutes, Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sunday. There is a reduced timetable in the evenings.
During the summer season Edinburgh Tours also run an open top bus from Waverley Bridge in Edinburgh direct to Port Edgar Marina, 7 days a week.

By Train: Port Edgar is a 20 minute walk from Dalmeny Station, with regular trains to Edinburgh Waverley and the Fife line
