How to Calculate Cost of Voice Broadcasting? So if you've ever looked at the comparison of voice broadcasting companies you have no doubt looked how much they charge. Most companies will charge you on a per-minute. Some charge lead or transfer or delivered message, but it is better to get the rate per minute. Voice broadcasting companies that charge for each shift make sure they are covering their costs and therefore lift rates to make sure you are covered. Now that you have found companies that billed on a per minute, there are some things to look for to get the most out of your investment, however, there are really big on the theme you want to ask. When you call a company please be sure to ask what they charge billing increment in. What is a billing increment? A billing increment is the amount of time (i.e., 6 sec. 12 sec. 30s. O 60 sec.) Increases in the total counts per minute are based on. Some companies bill on different billing increments, and can dramatically affect the amount of campaign spending run. For example, if you are billed at 3 cents per minute in increments of 60 second billing means that no matter how long it takes your phone call is billed at 60 seconds. So if your call lasts just 15 seconds, the total charges for the call will be 3 cents. However, if you are billing for billing increments 6 seconds, which means that you will only be charged for every 6 seconds of time connected. So the 15 second call will be billed for 18 seconds (rounded to 6 seconds increment closest), which comes to a total cost of 9/10ths of one cent (less than 1 cent.) This represents a 60% savings! So now that you have an understanding of how billing increments and how much of a savings you can get, NOT start working with any campaign to spread the word until you know exactly how much work you are being billed. Do not be fooled. If you come across companies saying that you will bill absurdly low rates, ask them what the billing increment is. If they say they can get a rate of 1.5 cents per minute if you are not making ridiculous call volume (hundreds of thousands per day), it is likely that you will be billed in 60 second increments. So let's do a little quick calculation on this. 1.5 cents per minute in increments of 60 second billing cost 1.5 cents a second call 10 seconds or 30, depending on the duration of the call. This

30 second call will cost exactly the same amount as 3 cents per minute billed in 6 second increments, just 1.5 cents. Some companies try to use this tactic as a little secret billing allows them to give the illusion that they are giving their customers a very low charge rate per minute, when it is actually not that low at all. Voice broadcasting can be one of the most efficient means of communication for your business or organization. However, this little trick will give you the edge when it comes to voice broadcasting companies. If you are clear, you will have the best chance of success with your campaign.
