Landscape / Lawn Short Course

In early December, forty-seven Green Industry professionals devoted three full days and attended the Landscape/ Lawn Short Course. This in-person event presented many topics, from selecting and maintaining woody plants to turfgrass weeds and insects. Why did they devote their valuable time? After all, they could have been working on final fall landscape tasks. They came to acquire knowledge and skills needed to raise their professionalism to better serve their clients, the landscape, and the environment. Instructors were all at the “A Level” and included persons from the National Association of Landscape Professionals, Virginia State University, Virginia Tech, Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, and the Virginia Cooperative Extension.
