Area : 105 m2 Field of Work : Design and Build - Meeting & collect informations from customer - Full design from 2D to 3D - Construction permit documents - Making quotation - Contacting supplier - Construction - Project Supervision Status : Finished Time of Project : late Mar- mid Jun 2019 At the beginning, from the civil structure, layout was modified from 3-bedrooms to 2-bedrooms in order to fit customer needs. The bathroom enclosed big closet, thus it brings the most spacious to the master bedroom. The apartment was finished and equipped with high quality equipment (Grohe, Hafele, Bianco Carrara Marble, Dulux 5in1, Philips...); Besides, the lighting design and interior colors painting not only created a luxurious space but also brought a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.

The building is located in a small alley, causing visibility restrictions, lack of courtyards; This house dwell for a family of 3 generations, my goal is freeing up the inner space, create the void and garden in the house; it not only brings natural light, ventilation but also creates a link between spaces.

Time of Project : Sep 2018 - Nov 2018 The first homestay project in Da Lat, it consists of 9 bedrooms and serves up to 20 peoples. During the designing process, it requires to meet the specific requirements of geomancy from customer from which there are certain limitations on layout. For the facade, adding secondary skin to cover the vertical front of the house, creating more dynamic looks from inside out. The project is in finishing interior and outdoor landscape phase. Inspired by Villa Savoye and the openness of vernacular architecture, the house is a steel box sitting resting above columns, freeing up the ground floor space. The design is an answer to the minimal contemporary lifestyle of the young professional, who possesses an extensive collection of cars in the tropical climate of Ho Chi Minh City.

The design is inspired by the act of layering present in Vietnamese tradition. Traditional clothes are combinations of layered thin fabric, graceful yet revealing, an answer to both the climate condition and traditional courtesy. Vietnamese vernacular architecture reflects the same ethos. Buildings are covered with layers of skins, made of timber or natural materials, or strategically covered through layers of awnings, corridors, and halls. These gestures simply a graceful answer to the local climate with an abundance of sunlight and rain and a culture that values privacy and connection between man and nature.
