SENIOR RUGBY PRESEASON TRAINING CAMP – SUMMER 2025

Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians,
I am writing to all potential senior rugby students and parents to inform you of our plans for the next senior rugby preseason training camp, which will take place at Seaford College from Monday, 18th to Wednesday, 20th August 2025.
The aim of the camp is to prepare the senior boys’ rugby squad for their season in 2025/26. We are very excited about the upcoming season, which includes an exciting and challenging set of fixtures that will be announced on SOCS in the coming weeks. Our season also includes, but is not limited to, the following tournaments for those selected in the relevant squads.
Esher President’s Cup – 1st XV – Wednesday, 27th August (no cost)
South Coast Kings – 2nd XV – Sunday, 31st August (no cost)
St Joseph’s Festival – 1st XV Squad – Saturday, 18th & Sunday, 19th October (approx. cost £250) Global Schools Challenge in Barcelona – 1st XV Squad – Sunday, 13th to Friday, 19th December (TBC) The Schools Championship 7s – 1st VII – 2026 dates tbc (approx. cost £100)Sedbergh National 10s –1st X – 2026 dates tbc (approx. cost £250)
We are opening the camp to all senior boys who will be in Years 12 and 13 in the new academic year. The cost of the camp will be £250 per person. This includes all transport, meals, excursions and accommodation for the duration of our camp.
Please note that we have taken the decision this year to run the camp at Seaford College. The primary reason for this decision is financial, as basing ourselves at Seaford allows us to use all our excellent facilities, which rival those of any top sporting institution, at a fraction of the cost. We will, however, be including some excursions off campus as part of the three-day camp.
The cost of £250 will be split into three instalments, as outlined below, although alternative arrangements can be made to fit in with individual circumstances. Should you wish your son to be considered for the camp, please complete an Expression of Interest form here: https://forms.office.com/e/LZRZbxfm9G as soon as possible, together with an initial deposit payment of £100, made payable to the account below, and at the latest by Monday, 2nd June 2025.
