WELCOME
I would like to offer you a warm welcome you to Seaford College today, where we pride ourselves on our community spirit and passion for sport. Our emphasis is always on participation and inclusion. I am keen to make the figurative “no-one on the bench” a reality.
This goes right from Prep School to the Senior School. My passion for sport is part of the Seaford DNA and we pride ourselves, through teamwork, on our students achieving their personal best for their team. Seaford College’s excellence in coaching produces outstanding results unsurpassed by schools of a similar size.
We are proud to offer specialised coaching in small groups and work with coaches that have years of experience playing and coaching at the highest levels. We offer an annual sports scholarship programme which rewards and recognises sporting talent.
Thank you to all my staff and especially the Sports Department for leading the organisation of today and your continued commitment to sport at Seaford.
I’d also like to thank Paul Boarer and his estates and grounds team for making our surroundings look so wonderful this afternoon.

I am delighted to be welcoming you all to the 2024 Seaford College Senior Sports Day. Sport at the College continues to flourish alongside our house sporting competitions.
Sport plays a major part in the curricular, co-curricular and social life of the College. We truly believe that ‘sport for all’ and ‘performance sport’ can co-exist.The Senior Sports Day provides an opportunity for our student athletes to compete for their houses in the last event of the year.
In the Sports Department, we aim to create a visionary, studentcentredenvironment that fosters enjoyment, inclusivity, hard work, creativity, competition, resilience (GRIT), decision making and reflection, thus developing independent learners that can adapt to the constantly changing landscape of modern sport.We ensure each student achieves their own personal best via the Seaford sporting pathway.
We believe development drives performance and that, through our sporting pathway, students will achieve their personal bests, whilst developing qualities and attitudes that will help them not just on the sports field but in life itself.
The College grounds provide an outstanding setting for Sports Day and I would personally like to thank all the sports, grounds, estates, and catering teams for all their support in preparation for today.
