Prep School Sports Day is a wonderful event where all children paticipate with enthusiasm and spirit, encouraging each other through each event, regardless of finishing position.
Presentations for events will be awarded throughout the day at the podium following each event.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Sports Department for all their hard work both in the run-up to today and for the day’s organisation: such days require much planning and hard work.

Dear Parents, Students and Supporters, It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Prep School Sports Day 2026.
Today is one of the most enjoyable occasions in the Prep School calendar and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the enthusiasm, energy and spirit that our pupils bring to sport throughout the year. Sports Day is about much more than winning races or collecting points; it is a celebration of participation, perseverance, teamwork and personal achievement.
At Seaford, we believe that sport plays a vital role in a child’s development. Through sport, our students learn important life skills including resilience, confidence, leadership and collaboration. Today’s event provides the perfect platform for these qualities to shine as students challenge themselves, support their friends and represent their Houses with pride.
This has been another fantastic year for Prep School Sport. Across a wide range of activities, our students have embraced opportunities to train, compete and represent the College. From fixtures and festivals to county representation and national competitions, it has been wonderful to see so many young people enjoying sport and developing a lifelong love of being active.
Our Seaford Sport values of Respect, Teamwork, Courage and Trust sit at the heart of everything we do. While House competition will undoubtedly add excitement throughout the day, I encourage all students to focus on giving their best effort, supporting those around them and enjoying the experience.
Events such as Sports Day rely on the support and dedication of many people. I would like to thank our Prep School staff, Sports Department, Grounds Team, Estates Team, Catering Team and Medical Team for their hard work in preparing for today’s event. Their efforts ensure that our pupils can enjoy a positive, safe and memorable day. A special mention must go to Mrs Stace and Mr Barnes who have been influential in leading Prep Sport across this year, and today’s event is no different.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to our parents and families.Your encouragement and support throughout the year are invaluable and play a huge role in helping our young people develop both confidence and a love of sport. We are delighted to welcome you to today’s celebrations and thank you for being part of the Seaford community.
Most importantly, I hope all of our students enjoy every moment of the day. Whether you are sprinting down the track, competing in a field event, cheering on your House or supporting a friend, remember to give your best, embrace the challenge and have fun.
