For decades Jim and Allison Richards welcomed thousands of visitors into Stones ‘N Bones Museum, sharing their remarkable collection and passion for the natural world.

Through their dedication, curiosity and love of learning, they created a one-of-a-kind experience that inspired many.

Now, through the generosity of the Richard’s family, the County of Lambton has the privilege of carrying that legacy forward, creating a permanent home for the collection as a new museum on the second floor of Sarnia Library.

OUR GOAL

$3.5 MILLION TO TRANSFORM SARNIA LIBRARY AND CREATE A NEW HOME FOR STONES ‘N BONES MUSEUM.

The Stones ‘N Bones Museum / Sarnia Library Redevelopment Project will bring together a world-class natural history museum and renewed library spaces in one vibrant community destination.

Guided by the expertise of the County’s Museum, Gallery, and Archives Department staff, the project will result in a professionally curated museum that operates alongside the County’s library services, 306-seat theatre, and community meeting spaces.

Visitors will be able to explore natural history while also enjoying access to library materials, learning, and community programming under one roof, creating a destination where visitors can discover everything from dinosaurs and fossils to their next great read.
