RECOGNITION OPPORTUNITIES

Recognition Opportunities

Your support of The Community Campaign for Lake County Forest Preserves will protect decades of investment of both public and private dollars in restoration of Lake County’s beloved forest preserves, providing a permanent source of funding to ensure they remain resilient in an uncertain future.

Endowment gifts create a perpetual, dependable funding source for the Forest Preserves and ensure every acre of habitat we restore remains ecologically healthy. Forever.

With your contribution of $3,500 or more, there is an opportunity for recognition in a beautiful natural setting while also leaving a legacy for generations to come.

COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE • 8” × 10”

Gifts of $50,000 or more are recognized with an 8” x 10” bronze plaque set into an existing feature or boulder.

Donors may name an existing feature in the Forest Preserves, such as an overlook, or work with staff to place their recognition in a mutually agreed upon spot along the trail.

If you have a specific preserve or natural area you are interested in dedicating, a representative of the Preservation Foundation can provide you with the minimum gift associated with that location and an example of what recognition could look like.

COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE • 5” × 7”

Gifts of $25,000 or more are recognized with a 5” x 7” bronze plaque set into an existing feature or field post.

Donors may name an existing feature in the Forest Preserves, such as a trail loop or fishing pier, or work with staff to place their recognition along their favorite stretch of trail.

BENCHES

Our benches invite visitors to stop along their journey through a forest preserve and enjoy an immersive experience in nature.

When you dedicate a Trailside Bench for $3,500, your permanent dedication will be commemorated with a personalized 4.5" x 1.5" plaque.

In some areas, such as the Native Garden at Independence Grove Forest Preserve in Libertyville, bench dedications begin at $10,000 due to the unique style, location or limited availability.

Virtual Recognition

Every gift to the Forest Preserves is meaningful, regardless of amount. As a thank you to our donors who make a gift of $250 or more , we offer virtual recognition opportunities through three key programs.

Donors may virtually:

• Adopt-An-Acre

• Adopt-A-Trail

• Adopt-An-Oak

Your adoption will be recognized in perpetuity on the Commemorative Gift
