2016 Ky Forest Industries Assoc. Annual Meeting Restoring Our Forests and Markets

he Kentucky Forest Industries Association (KFIA) will hold its 51st Annual Meeting on April 5 - 7, 2016 at The Brown Hotel in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The association plans to host over 400 company representatives from throughout the region. There will be a variety of discussions and activities to enjoy during the event. A number of opportunities will be made available for attendees to gather and discuss current issues, and meet with customers both new and old. The meeting will get underway with the John Smith Invitational golf outing at the Oxmoor Country Club Golf Course in Louisville, Kentucky.
The exhibit area will be open throughout the meeting and the Tree Farm Awards Luncheon will recognize outstanding individuals for their achievements in the forest industry community. t’s official: SFPA’s 34th Forest Products Machinery & Equipment Exposition— EXPO 2017—will be held June 14-16, 2017 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center. The show’s theme: Blueprint for Success. Conducted by SFPA every two years since 1950, this event has traditionally included many of the biggest names in the business displaying everything from sawmill machinery to material handling equipment, attracting key representatives from the nation’s largest wood products manufacturers. Expo 2015 last June featured 188 exhibitors, with a total attendance of more than 2,200. “Many exhibitors from the 2015 show have already expressed plans to expand their displays for the 2017 event,” reports SFPA’s exposition director Eric Gee. “With the housing market turnaround in motion, next year’s Expo is the best place to be for companies wanting to showcase equipment, products and services for the wood industry,” he adds. Promotion of EXPO 2017 will begin soon, with a direct mail campaign to all past exhibitors and prospects, encouraging them to “save the dates.” For more information about EXPO 2017, visit SFPAexpo.com. An online sales kit and exhibit space application will be available in mid-May. SFPA members receive first priority for booth selection. Expo 2015 nonmember exhibitors, companies appearing at previous shows and other prospects will be next in line to apply for exhibit space.
