This is a 2017 Bandit 3680 875 hp CAT bought it new 10-17 it has 1000hrs+\- Still running it some. It has the new design 30 tooth mill and also had a new tail shaft and new anvil and gate. Also has a set of 3” baffled screens for it that only have about 30hrs on them. This is a strong tier 2 machine owner operated they are selling because they upgraded to a 1200hp machine, there is nothing wrong with this machine and it is ready to work! If sold they can transport anywhere in Florida or to the FL state line to reduce transportation cost for the buyer. You won’t find a grinder in this good of shape anywhere.

95 Timberjack 450C Grapple / Winch Skidder. Has a Prolenc snubber that was installed in October 2014. Installed a reman Cummins engine (purchased from Cummins) that now has only 1,800 hours on it. New “Heavy Duty” radiator was installed at the same time as

the engine. Both rear-ends have been re-built. Transmission has been rebuilt about 4,000 hour ago. Center pins have been replaced and are tight. New suspension seat. Has no leaks / machine is dry all over. The hour meter reads 3,900 hours but previous owner said he replaced the meter at around 4,000 hours so machine is around 8000 frame hours. Has heat but no air conditioning. Winch was rebuilt by Holt Equipment. 28L X 26 tires at 90%. This machine is in excellent shape. Everything operates as it should. Michigan Fastener Expands Capacity, Adds Products to Improve Service

What started only eight years ago in Jon Will’s garage, has become a sizeable supplier of quality nails to the pallet industry. Jon Will, owner and president of Michigan Fastener, said, “We have almost doubled our plant capacity over the last year and are adding new customers and products every day. We have added new equipment and increased the size of our wire storage and finished goods storage. We have grown a lot over the last few years thanks to happy customers.”

An experienced cold header who worked for 20-plus years for another company. Today, Michigan Fastener is continuing to grow, increasing production and storage capabilities. Employee Injures Foot During Trailer Exchange

BACKGROUND

On a winter afternoon in the Southeastern US, a feller-buncher operator was assisting two crew members with detaching a log trailer. They were preparing to attach a lowboy trailer to the cab once the log trailer was removed.

UNSAFE ACTS/CONDITIONS

The feller-buncher operator failed to disconnect the airlines from the trailer. Once he discovered the oversight, he attempted to disconnect the lines as the truck was pulling away from the trailer.

The truck driver asked the feller-buncher operator if everything was ready for him to pull away. A verbal confirmation was given that driver could proceed.

Once the feller-buncher operator standing near the log trailer realized the airlines were still attached to the trailer, he positioned himself to disconnect the lines as the truck was pulling away from the trailer. As the truck moved forward, the forward-most outer rear tires on the driver’s side of the cab ran over the employee’s right foot. The employee was able to pull his foot out from under the tire. Other crew members who were assisting with the trailer swap heard the injured employee yell and noticed that he was lying on the ground.

The driver stated that he established eye-to-eye contact with the feller-buncher operator before he attempted to pull away from the trailer and the injured employee was not near his vehicle at that time. Other witnesses nearby also confirmed that the employee was approximately 25 feet from the cab when the driver was beginning to pull away from the trailer. The driver noted that the airlines were still attached to the trailer when he exited his cab to assist the injured employee.

The business owner transported the injured employee to a nearby immediate care center for treatment. Doctors at the facility advised that further medical treatment from a specialist was needed since the injured employee “could have” a fractured foot. No care or treatment was administered at the care center, and the employee went home “hoping the injury would get better.” Following the guidance of his attorney, the employee scheduled an appointment with a Podiatrist four weeks after the accident. He was diagnosed with non-displaced fractures of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th metatarsal bones in his right foot, and surgery was recommended.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CORRECTION:

• Always maintain verbal communication with everyone involved while conducting a dangerous task.
