SKAGERAK COLLECTION

CONSCIOUS DESIGN CRAFTED WITH CARE

The Skagerak Collection originates from an international design company established in 1976 in Denmark known for responsibly crafted, contemporary and long-lasting design. The name Skagerak refers to the stretch of sea that connects Denmark to its Nordic neighbours.

The Skagerak Collection elevates modern living indoors and outdoors while expressing the Nordic connection between nature and design. Consisting of indoor and outdoor furniture and accessories, the collection contains pieces known for their functionality, durability and relevance over the decades – and new designs yet to write history.

DESIGN FOR CHANGE

The Skagerak Collection is contemporary wooden furniture designed with an environmentally conscious philosophy. It continuously strives for a more positive impact on our world.

Material choice and the possibility of repair are essential to ensuring longevity. Each piece is made with honest, durable materials that age beautifully. Responsible materials like FSC™-certified wood and certified textiles made without harmful chemicals are preferred and used in most pieces.

FOR THE LOVE OF WOOD

Wood is the primary material in the Skagerak Collection. Wood does not only ensure great quality and an attractive aesthetic, it is also a natural and renewable material with a smaller environmental footprint than many other materials.

We support responsible wood sourcing and forest management, that’s why we prefer FSC™-certified wood in our production. FSC makes sure that no more trees are felled than the forest can reproduce – and that local communities, biodiversity and forest workers are treated with respect.

We aim for 100% certified wood by 2025. Currently we are at 95%.
