Conditions Of Sale

1. Prospective purchasers should register withAuctionMarts in advance of sale date by following ‘Live Bidding’ link on our website: www.lawrieandsymington.com unless registered for another auction via Auction Marts. Purchasers must click on the sale and 'Register with Auctioneer' this approves you for bidding.

2. The Sale will be under the auspices of the Blackface Sheep Breeders’ Association.

3. All sheep will be sold in Guineas and the guinea will go to the Association.

4. All sheep must be legibly branded on near horn according to lot numbers in catalogue

5. In Lamb Females are eligible to be offered for sale.

6. All sheep to be sold guaranteed in lamb, the purchaser has a 21 day warranty, if a breach of warrant is proved it must be accompanied by a veterinary surgeon’s certificate. If the sheep has been flushed this must be declared.

7. All sheep to be sold are guaranteed correct in the mouth and udder.

8 If in-lamb females are from a SMS/ SQS flock or ARR/ARR, they are eligible to go to NI and they must be tested clear of MV so will have to be in isolation for 30 days either prior to or after the sale and tested within that period. NB - ALL FORMS WILL NEED TO BE WITH NEIL FOX (OV) & LAWRIE & SYMINGTON, BY 12NOON ON FRIDAY 24TH FEBRUARY. List of forms – SMS/SQS certificate; Isolation approval form; MV certificate or testing results; 8448 form; DAERA Supplementary certificate

9 Sheep must be individually tagged in line with the current tagging and movement legislation. If being exported to NI they must have a replacement pair of tags which include GB and the sheep’s individual number.

10. A substitute will be allowed for any sheep that is unable to be sold.

11 Vendors will be responsible for the insurance of their stock.

12. Movement regulations – Purchasers and Vendors must conform to the relevant movement rules at the time of sale.

13. L&S will process Electronic Sheep Movements as normal, with purchases for Northern Ireland and Eire moved to 99/000/0372 (Ireland CPH).

14. All stock to be paid in full prior to movements taking place.

15. The auctioneers act in all respects only as agents for the vendor and no condition or warranty is given by the auctioneers of their servants, and none shall be implied, as to title, description or the quality of any lot sold. Neither the auctioneers or their servants shall be liable to the purchaser in any respect for any defect of title, error of description or imperfection or for any announcement or statement concerning the lot offered for sale whether made orally or in writing and whether given before, during or after the auction, nor shall they incur any liability in relation to any dispute between any vendor and purchaser.

Buyerrequirements

 Must apply for an import license PRE SALE (non MV accredited) from DAERA – EMAIL to Neil Fox and Jane Maxwell EMAIL- neil.fox@clydevetgroup.co.uk AND jane.maxwell@clydevetgroup.co.uk

 Must have an isolation certificate from local DAERA office - EMAILPRESALE.

 Transport from assembly centre to Northern Ireland. The person transporting the sheep is responsible for TRACES-NT. ‘TRACES’ is the EU trade portal used for all and any exports of goods and is used to generate and send the form to Larne portwhich notifies them of the arrival of the sheep. This form is called a CHED-A. This is applied for on the day of purchase in conjunction with the export Vet.
