After the success of By George: The Chip Shop Musical, Woodhouse Musical Theatre Company and Lawrence Batley Theatre present the world premiere of a brand-new Yorkshire musical, The Village Hall.

Cheeley Village Hall has problems: an over-stuffed Saturday schedule, not-so-secret affairs, two twitchy tea ladies - and now, somebody’s lost the key...

With book and lyrics written by Richard Sykes, this toe-tapping, in-the-round musical farce is a show brimming with catchy choruses, comedy, chaos and committee meetings.

After all shows in our Cellar Theatre there will be a post-show talk where you can hear from the artists, writers and creatives.

Our Cellar Theatre is the place to discover brave and exciting productions by some of the freshest, boldest and most daring artists around today. In this intimate and unique studio tucked underneath our main space, we’re bringing you the best shows from across the UK and showcasing locally rooted artists who are creating incredible theatre right here in Yorkshire. Expect to see the latest hits direct from the Edinburgh Fringe to new-writing from emerging playwrights and so much more...
