Robert W. Darling Faculty Chair

The Greater Good Award, established in 2005 and presented by Lawrence Academy’s Cum Laude Society, is awarded each fall to a student and each spring to a graduate of the school. Recipients have admirably demonstrated “an understanding of their responsibility to use their education for the greater good of humanity.”

The Darling Chair is awarded every five years for excellence in teaching, and appointed by the head of school.

Kathy Peabody Memorial Book Award The Kathy Peabody Memorial Book Award, established in 1997 by the 1966–67 residents of Pillsbury House, is given annually to that member of the non-teaching Lawrence community, including staff and family members, who helps to create a secure, positive environment in which all members of the community may achieve their best.
