POLICIES PAYMENT TERMS All advertisements are payable by check or cash. Established clients will be invoiced; new clients must pay in advance. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date.

CANCELLATION Cancellation requests must be in writing, signed and dated. Ads cancelled after the advertiser has reserved ad space will be billed at 50 percent of the cost; ads cancelled after the copy deadline will be billed at 100 percent of the cost.

CREATIVE SERVICES La Voz can provide basic ad layout and design for non-camera ready ads at no extra cost. In cases where advertisements require elaborate work, client may be billed for additional production cost. For best production results, please provide us with high-quality logos, photos or other types of graphics with at least 300 dpi resolution.

AD POLICIES La Voz reserves the right to edit, alter or omit any advertisement submitted for publication. La Voz will advertise only that which is legal to sell, and will not advertise the following: tobacco, alcohol, term paper or research assistance, drug paraphernalia or sexually suggestive ads. Printing the ad does not imply endorsement or acceptance of the person, service, event, product, or idea advertised. All advertisements are accepted and published upon representation that the agency and/or advertiser is authorized to publish the entire contents and the subject matter of its advertisement. Through March 20 Euphrat Museum De Anza College Museum Hours: Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Group tours available by appointment “Deep Reading” looks at the intersection of humanity and technology and traditional practices in the digital age. Artworks explore banned books, the book as an experience, and the global life of a cell phone or tablet. New technology is used along with ancient art practices–computer woven tapestries and textbased AR (augmented reality). One-of-a-kind and small edition artists’ books explore history, memory, and philosophy. An installation of speaking to freedom of information.

FEATURED SPEAKERS Poet, editor, Brian Komei Dempster is a USF professor and who helped former internees write about their experiences in the camps. Join De Anza in remembering the date when the executive order that led to the imprisonment of more than 120,000 Japanese Americans without due process and with no regard for their constitutional rights was signed during World War II. Authors Elaine Elinson and Stan Yogi coauthored “Wherever There’s a Fight: How Runaway Slaves, Suffragists, Immigrants, Strikers, and Poets Shaped Civil Liberties in California.” Both are former staff members of the ACLU of Northern California, as well as accomplished writers and editors. Samina Faheem represents American Muslim Voice in the San José area, an organization that promotes deeper understanding of the Muslim American experience through open dialogue and discussion.
