ART, ARCHITECTURE & THE PEOPLE BEHIND THEM This iconic Midtown building, originally a hotel, and now home to Monarch coffee with apartments above, has stood the test of time for almost 100 years. Opened in 1925, it's rooftop views were only recently restored to their former glory.

Kansas City painter and sculptor. Mr. Zarr hired Duard Marshall, an artist who was a longtime friend of Mr. Kraft, to uncover the painting again and restore it.
