45 Years of BUILDING OUTDOOR SPACES AND ENERGIZING COMMUNITIES.

With a drive for excellence and a passion for invigorating Colorado’s communities, ECI has transformed the parks and recreation arena across the Front Range and now celebrates 45 years in business

ECI was founded in Loveland in 1980 as a small landscape contractor Throughout the next few decades, ECI’s project scope increased substantially and is now regarded as Colorado’s leading general contractor that specializes in multimillion dollar outdoor spaces that foster community connection and enhance the environment. Offering full services in preconstruction, design-build and CM/GC delivery methods, ECI is a trusted partner in bringing premier outdoor recreation venues to life.

“ECI is proud to have been a part of the northern Colorado community for over 45 years,” said Ted Johnson, Chief Executive Officer at ECI “Our pride point is our incredible team of employees that are collaborative, innovative, and focus on high-quality projects that stand the test of time ”

ECI has made its mark with a plethora of iconic recreational spaces across northern Colorado and Denver area, all of which total a remarkable $485 million Margaret Carpenter Park (2010) in Thornton, Twin Silo Park (2017) in Fort Collins, Confluence Park (2017) in Denver, Adams County Veterans Memorial (2023) in Brighton, and Denver Museum of Nature & Science Nature Play (2024) in Denver, are just a few of the landmark destinations created by ECI

Not only has ECI enhanced the community through its many notable projects, but it has also placed great emphasis on giving back through several charitable endeavors. ECI has donated more than $190,000 to the Aims Foundation Construction Trades Scholarship to support the next generation of construction leaders, as well as partnered with Habitat for Humanity, the National MS Foundation, and several other local organizations

With 45 years in the rearview, ECI has no plans of slowing down any time soon and has several exciting ventures in the works Learn more about our projects and company at ecisite net

Iconic Outdoor Spaces Throughout the Years:

Recently Completed: GREEN AT 38TH

ECI completed The Green at 38 in September 2025 for the City of Wheat Ridge with The Architerra Group serving as the landscape architect It is the first new park built in Wheat Ridge since 2014 and serves as a downtown civic gathering area The 2 8 acre site includes several unique elements, such as the relocation of the Stevens Elementary School parking lot, roofed stage structure, san-o-let enclosure, landscape improvements and event lawn, accessible playground with custom play elements, gas firepit with gathering areas, walks and plazas using artful paving, brick and stone masonry, and utility relocation and coordination.

The park incorporates numerous fascinating aspects, including the tallest play-ground structure in Wheat Ridge, as well as a community celebration wall, which highlights the city’s history The Owl Tiles on the wall are preserved from the City’s original school, which was built in 1873

Recently Completed: WILDWING PARK

WildWing Park is the fourth consecutive CM/GC project ECI was selected to build for the Town of Timnath, following the successful completion of Timnath Community Park Phases 2 and 3 and Timnath Reservoir Shoreline Improvements The park is adjacent to Timnath’s WildWing neighborhood and celebrated its grand opening in April 2025

Phase I of this project involved the redevelopment of the existing park property. The new park amenities include expansive dog parks, new community garden, post-tension basketball court and pickleball courts, new playgrounds for all ages, sand volleyball court, restroom and shop building, shelter space, food truck plaza, and large multiuse fields.

ECI successfully completed this project in partnership with The Town of Timnath Collab Architecture and TST Inc Consulting

Project Feature: WILLOW BEND PARK

st

ECI Site Construction Management is proud to announce that Willow Bend Park, located on E. 1 Street in Loveland, opened to the public in June 2025. This unique venue combines parks and playgrounds with open space and natural education.

Willow Bend Park is unique in that it provides universal access so visitors of all ages and abilities can connect to the outdoors and enjoy its many features Spanning 163 acres, the park includes a climbing tower, swings, carousels, concrete slides, zip lines and more, all of which are accessible by paved ramps or smooth surfaces Additional aspects of the space include a smaller “sensory friendly” play area shielded from noise by a large vegetation area, as well as an expansive natural area, featuring trails and seating areas Visitors can also enjoy a picnic plaza and charging stations for assistive devices

This project is the realization of years of vision for an allinclusive play space. The idea was first proposed in 2014, and after a decade of securing funding and the property, it broke ground in 2024. The park is already garnering much acclaim for its commitment to inclusivity and diversity in the parks and recreation sphere.

Willow Bend Park came into fruition thanks to the dedication of several key players: City of Loveland Parks and Recreation (owner), Dig Studio (architect), Muller Engineering (engineer), and a strategic group of subcontractors

It was an honor to bring this inclusive outdoor space to Loveland, and we can’t wait to see the many ways it will serve our community for years to come

Project Feature: IDLEWILD PARK

Situated at 8,821 feet above sea level, Idlewild Park in Winter Park combines historical commemoration with modern inclusivity for a truly remarkable play experience. ECI completed Idlewild Park in October 2025 in partnership with Koelbel & Co., with Vogel and Associates serving as the project’s landscape architect.

Idlewild Park, built at the base of the Rendezvous community, boasts the first all-inclusive playground in Grand County, It features ADA picnic tables, play elements such as the “We-GoSwing,” accessible pathways, learning braille play panel, and sensory play panels ECI overcame challenges to successfully complete this project, including poor soil quality that was discovered onsite from previous site usage early in project mobilization, which was promptly resolved

The project location has a rich history, which was incorporated into the park design. The area served as a hunting ground for the Ute and Arapaho tribes in the early 1800s, and by the late 1800s and early 1900s, the logging and mining industries emerged in Grand County thanks to the completion of Grand County’s first railroad. Following World War II, tourism boomed and the ground below the park became the prominent ski community, Ski Idlewild, until its closing in 1986

Several unique elements reflect the history of the park, including a custom wigwam structure with spiral stairs, a legacy wall that pays tribute to the previous ski lodge, and refurbished chairlift benches from the original chairlifts of the ski lodge We are grateful for the opportunity to bring such a unique space to Grand County
