AROUND THE LIBRARY Thankful for Friends of the Library

As Friends of the LCPL conclude their fiscal year, we want to congratulate them on their successes, and thank them for their continued support of the library. Friends stood with us during an unprecedented time. They sponsored events, purchased items for our collection, purchased a tent for outdoor events, and raised over $6,500 for our library through book sales and memberships. Outgoing President Teressa Gibbs has been leading Friends for the past four years. You will recognize her because of her active involvement. You will have seen her at library programs, fundraising events, and Friends sponsored activities. She has also spent countless hours working in the Friends room. Her leadership has propelled Friends to grow financially and through membership. We cannot thank her enough for her time and dedication. We also want to thank Friends additional outgoing board members: Rachel DeWees, Pam Milligan, and Jamie Sexton. They have been committed to Friends and the Laurel County Public Library through service and advocacy. We are also grateful for all of their hard work. Thank you to all who have donated, shopped, and supported Friends of the LCPL. The new fiscal year starts July 1st. If you are interested in learning more about Friends or would like to join visit www. laurellibrary.org/about/friends-of-the-library/ or call the library and ask for Susan.
