Spring is finally upon us At times, it felt like it might never arrive, but it’s here at last After a long winter, we know everyone is eager to return to the club and enjoy all the outdoor activities we have to offer
The golf course is open and in excellent condition, thanks to the hard work and dedication of John Slade and his team With Men’s and Women’s Opening Days just around the corner, our staff has put together a full and exciting golf schedule You can find all upcoming events on the club app, with most now open for registration
Our tennis courts will be top-dressed next week and ready for play shortly thereafter Dan has created a fun-filled calendar of tennis events, which is also available on the app Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, tennis offers a variety of clinics and lessons for all ages and skill levels. We are also pleased to once again offer our six-week Golf and Tennis Academy, with a limited number of spots still available.
Dining is back in full swing, with Palmer House and the Mixed Grill open daily (excluding Mondays). Outdoor dining is available as the weather permits. Our culinary team is currently refreshing the menu to highlight the freshest seasonal ingredients, bringing new flavors and creativity to your dining experience.
We’re also looking ahead to pool season, which is just six short weeks away Our team is already planning enhancements to make your time at the pool even more enjoyable this summer
In addition, we have an exciting and robust social calendar planned, offering the perfect blend of family-friendly and adult-only events New highlights include our first annual Summer Carnival, think old school carnival, featuring classic games, rides, and the nostalgic treats of funnel cake and cotton candy Also newly added in 2026 is our Camp Night, where families can enjoy a unique overnight experience under the stars right on the golf course
For adults, we are excited to introduce a reimagined Spring Derby event Dress in your derby best and join us for an elegant late afternoon of cocktails, Chef Pete’s signature creations, live music, contests, and a few special surprises along the way
We encourage you to take full advantage of all the club has to offer, reconnect with fellow members, welcome new faces, and share the experience with friends and family. These are the moments that define our club culture: “Incredible Experiences and Everlasting Memories”. Here’s to a fantastic spring and an even more memorable summer ahead. I look forward to seeing you around the club!
There’s something about this time of year at Laurel Creek that just feels different
As the days get longer and the weather finally starts to cooperate, the Club begins to come back to life. The golf course is waking up, tee sheets are filling, and there’s a renewed energy you can feel the moment you walk through the doors. After a quieter winter season, it’s always so nice to see familiar faces returning more often and families spending time together around the Club again.
Spring also brings a new wave of members into the Laurel Creek community, and it’s always exciting to watch those connections begin. We are currently welcoming 12 families through our Spring Trial Membership, and it has already been wonderful to see them getting a feel for the Club and everything it has to offer
Historically, April is when we see the greatest number of trial participants join, so there is still plenty of time for anyone who may have friends or colleagues interested in experiencing Laurel Creek to take advantage of this opportunity The trial runs through June 30 and offers a great way to enjoy the Club before making a longer-term commitment As always, if you have friends, neighbors, or colleagues who you think would be a great fit for Laurel Creek, I'd love the introduction As a reminder, members who refer a new family receive $1000 credit to their account
Another thing that has made this season especially fun is seeing the Club come to life on social media If you haven’t already, I encourage you to check out our Instagram and Facebook pages Since bringing Harrison Parker on board as our Social Media Content Manager, there has been a noticeable and impressive improvement in both the quality and consistency of our content From beautiful course shots to candid moments at events, Harrison has done an incredible job capturing what makes Laurel Creek so special and sharing it in a way that truly reflects the spirit of our Club
As we head into what is always one of our busiest and most exciting seasons, I’m looking forward to seeing the Club filled with activity, welcoming new families, and continuing to build on the strong sense of community that makes Laurel Creek such a special place.
I look forward to seeing all of you around the Club this spring.

We’ve already enjoyed a few beautiful days that tease the approaching spring and the activities we’re all eager to return to As more members emerge from their winter routines and come back to the club, I want to remind everyone about our reservation policies
Thank you to everyone who’s been making reservations, our ratio of bookings to walk ins has improved greatly over the past year and that helps us plan staffing and dining operations more effectively.
Take-out is also another topic revolving around our dining policies On Fridays and Saturdays we do offer take-out between the times 6pm and 8pm If you do want take-out on either of those nights please place an order for pickup before or after those times
Important reservation notes:
Dinner Reservations of 8 or less can be made on the app or by calling reception at 856-2347663 There are only a limited number of tables that can seat more than 4 people so if you are trying to make a reservation and it will not allow you to do so, it is because there is not a table available to suit your party size Please call the receptionist to see if we can arrange accommodation Do not reserve a table and then write a larger number of guests in the notes, because we cannot automatically accommodate these requests
Parties of 12 or more: These must be coordinated by our Director of Events, Erin Schafer. Large parties require a limited-menu selection planned with the chef to ensure a smooth, satisfying dining experience
Parties of 9 to 11: Call the club and ask to speak with the F&B manager on duty These reservations cannot be made through the app. Please do not book a table for less people and put comments in the notes for increased party size as they will not be honored.
Parties of 12 to 19: These must be coordinated by our Director of Events, Erin Schafer, and will require a limited menu planned with the chef to ensure a smooth, satisfying dining experience Parties of 20 or more: These are considered a private event and must be coordinated through our Director Events, Erin Schafer Whether you prefer plated service or a buffet, our Director of Events will guide you through the options and accommodations.
Outdoor seating: With nicer weather, outdoor dining will reopen Outdoor seating is first come first serve, and is not reservable If you’d like to dine outside, please note the request in your reservation comments and we will do our best to accommodate you If you enter the outdoor dining area from the deck stairs, please check in with the host so we know to send a server out to you
These policies are in place to ensure an excellent dining experience for everyone. If you have any questions about reservations, please call the club and ask for a dining manager

Ryan O’Neill, our Outside Golf Supervisor, has been named Employee of the Month for March in recognition of his steady dedication and outstanding contributions to the Club
Although the early part of the season has been slower due to weather, Ryan has remained a constant presence, using the time productively to prepare for the busy months ahead His reliability and initiative have not gone unnoticed, and he consistently steps in wherever support is needed, including assisting in the Golf Shop when the professional staff is occupied.
Ryan has also played a meaningful role in enhancing the experience for prospective members His involvement in golf course tours, along with his strong knowledge of the game and approachable demeanor, helps create a welcoming and informative environment His ability to connect with guests and provide genuine insight into the Club adds significant value to these interactions
Ryan represents Laurel Creek with professionalism and enthusiasm, and his willingness to go above and beyond, especially during a quieter time of year, truly sets him apart

April is here and we’re excited to finally be back on court! It’s been a long winter, and I know many of you are just as eager as we are to get outside and playing again. I’m especially looking forward to being back at Laurel Creek for my second season and building on the momentum from last year
We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes resurfacing and upgrading the courts to ensure a great playing experience for the season ahead
Courts officially reopen April 13, and our full schedule of adult and junior clinics is ready to go Sign-ups are now live in the app, so be sure to reserve your spots early We’re also happy to share that we now have a new stringing machine on site, along with all the latest Head tennis racquets and pickleball paddles available for your needs throughout the season.

SUMMER PROGRAMS
Registration is now open for our 6-week Summer Golf & Tennis Academy, running June 22 through August 7 This is a great option for junior athletes looking to develop skills in both sports
Our Summer Tennis Camp will run June 19 through August 21 and offers full-day and half-day options for players of all levels, from beginner to advanced. With flexible enrollment by the day, week, or full summer, families can choose the schedule that works best for them
We’re excited to see everyone back at the club and on the courts it’s shaping up to be a fantastic season.

As you may recall, with the greens not being tarped over the winter, we did cover a couple of small test plots for comparison on #9 and 17 greens This past Friday we removed the covers from these two areas, and below you can see the covered vs uncovered section of #17:

We will keep an eye on things over the next few weeks to see when the two sides even out However, even with the prolonged snow cover this winter, it appears that the tarps still make a difference in how quickly the greens recover from aerification.
