ABOUT LAURA
Laura Stoddart knew that she wanted to be an illustrator by the time she was eleven years old. Her mother and great aunt were both illustrators so in some ways you could call it the family business. But it wasn’t until she went to art school in Brighton, followed by a masters at the Royal College of Art, that she began to develop her own unique style. Inspired by nature, antiques and certain periods of fashion, she is particularly known for her exquisitely dressed figures carrying giant flowers and outsized objects such as balloons and presents.
Her very first commission after leaving the Royal College in 1996 was to illustrate the Royal Mail Christmas stamps, the youngest professional artist ever to do so. As a freelancer, she went on to create instantly recognisable images for clients such as Crabtree & Evelyn,Gardens Illustrated, Vogue Entertaining, Kate Spade, Portmeirion, the RHS and Unicef, before setting up her own company in 2016.
Laura lives on the Devon/Somerset border with her husband, also an artist, their two children, two Beddlington terriers, Birdie and Violet, and a cat called Dot. When she’s not working, she can often be found trying to tame the somewhat wild garden around her house or rooting around local antique markets for items to add to her many collections.

Laura illustrates and designs all our products herself and everything we produce is made in England*
By using FSC paper and other sustainable papers and manufacturing our products in England, we are conserving energy and are mindful of reducing waste.
We have replaced single-use plastics with compostable biofilm to protect our recyclable greeting cards and stationery. For Trade orders we band and box our products with recyclable paper and only use second hand clear bags to protect our cotton tea towels and cotton bags. We also reuse and recycle every single cardboard box we have. So don't be surprised if your trade order comes in a second or third hand box.
We constantly strive to reduce the negative impact that we have on our environment, both within the UK and Worldwide. *paper napkins are produced in Germany, as sadly there are no UK manufacturers.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
UK TRADE ORDERS
All prices are subject to VAT (UK) and carriage - Minimum order value is £150. Carriage is paid on £300.00+ (UK mainland only). Minimum quantities - 6 of any one product code (4 of each A4 Print and 1 x pack of 25 giftwrap). First orders are accepted on pro-forma payment prior to shipping. Strictly 30 days payment terms, from the date of invoice, upon approval thereafter. We prefer bricks and mortar shops to accompany any eCommerce sites. We use considerable measures to protect our range of products from over-saturation in all geographic locations, h owever we cannot guarantee stockist exclusivity in specific locations. Trade accounts are kept active when 3 or more orders, ideally one every 120 days, are received in each 12 month period with a minimum per annum spend of £1000.
INTERNATIONAL TRADE ORDERS
All International orders are subject to the same conditions as UK Trade Orders. International orders are invoiced in GBP£ and subject to a per order carriage charge and any per country import duties or taxes charged locally. First orders are accepted on pro-forma payment prior to shipping. 30 days payment terms upon approval thereafter, from the date of invoice. International payment details will be provided with your invoice.
