PAGE 2 | WE ARE THE WOODS
WE ARE THE WOODS Using contemporary physical language our works express social commentaries through the millennial perspective and leave people feeling connected and visceral. We are a diverse group, raising the bar for professional art in Halifax, achieving sustained progress in hip hop dance, and creating opportunities for individuals to dance professionally while working on other professional interests.

THE PURPOSE OF ART IS WASHING THE DUST OF DAILY LIFE OFF OUR SOULS. PABLO PICASSO
PAGE 4 | TO THE CORE
OUR CORE We believe in our core values Integrity, Bravery, Family and we create an environment for young dancers to grow professionally as well as personally.
PAGE 5 | CALL TO ACTION
AN OPEN LETTER. As a non-profit organization and Atlantic Canada’s first and only professional hip-hop dance company our biggest challenge is the lack of funding. We want to grow our impact in the region and empower young people within our diverse communities and touch audiences with our unique bend of dance. We started something special and need your support to help us fulfill our vision.
