While at LMA I had the privilege of working on this LEED Gold six-story office TI from programming to completion. The work includes a new three-story communicating stair, new enclosed meeting rooms and edit bays, a new gender-neutral restroom, new coffee bar and pantries, and an indoor-outdoor lounge.
I worked under a Project Architect and Project Manager and was responsible for aspects of visioning, master planning, design, construction documentation, permitting, and contract administration. I assisted in coordinating the consultant team including structural, MEP, AV/IT/Security, acoustical, lighting, sustainability, interior design, and custom furniture.

I was responsible for drafting construction drawings for the communicating stair scope, which was permitted separately. Existing conditions, new structural elements, and the requirement of shaft construction created unique parameters. The design features a plywood enclosure which terminates in a grand staircase that doubles as a presentation platform.
The plywood enclosure and metal guardrail have a coplanar relationship which required coordination and problem-solving between multiple construction trades.
The required fire-rated stair enclosure provided an opportunity for a monochrome tunnel.

While at LMA I assisted with permitting and construction documentation for this 40,000 SF adaptive-reuse project that includes retail and restaurant space on the ground floor, office space on the second, and a roof deck above. The project consists of six seismically separated buildings; three new buildings were built and positioned to form a solid perimeter at the street and create a central courtyard.
Detailed coordination with structural engineers was required to design new seismic joints and a roof deck; my responsibilities included developing wall sections and details of custom storefronts, parapets and drainage components, and the roof deck pedestal flooring.

Pioneertown, Calif. Completed 2020
While at LMA I worked closely with restaurant co-owners, consultants, and food/beverage program managers to expeditiously design, re-entitle, permit and restore the historic saloon. After being closed for nearly 30 years, the saloon reopened in summer 2020. My responsibilties included schematic design presentations, construction documentation, permitting, and extensive coordination with County officials to obtain necessary approvals for the building. I assisted in managing the consultant team of structural, MEP, and geotechnical.
Care was taken to preserve the original wood bartop which features carved inscriptions from (in)famous Pioneertown residents.
Millwork axons and sections helped me convey ideas to the project’s bar consultant.
While at Bestor Architecture I assisted with the interior design for a record label located in an existing landmark circular tower building. Responsibilites included schematic design of a communicating stair, historic lobbies, pantries, and restrooms. I created visuals for client presentations, conducted research about the building’s history for internal use, managed the 3D model, and drafted documentation for coordination with consultants and the AOR.

The pantry finishes are influenced by mid-century modern homes and combine warm elements like wood with durable materials like laminate and stacked tile. A curved wood wall screens the pantry from the elevator lobby and mimics the curve of the building’s core.
Modular screens are proposed in copy/print stations, restrooms, and hallways to obscure building functions while allowing light to pass through. They are inspired by the metal z-profile louvers that screen the building’s rooftop mechanical equipment and the movable wood slat panels that are found in the recording studios.
While at Bestor Architecture, I assisted in the design development and documentation for an existing four-story building renovation for a global athletic company. I was responsible for the documentation of a proposed connection between the building’s two wings which uses thin mullions and structural silicone glazed curtain walling.
