Launton School reports: Animals
We have been learning about animals and we know that there are different groups of animals such as mammals.

Most mammals have hair or fur but some do not, like the walruses. Birds have wings, fish swim in the sea and amphibians go in and out of the water. A frog is an amphibian and we have nearly all seen one. One of us has seen a tadpole and we know that they grow into frogs. We know about insects and we can name one called the dragonfly. We know that a snake is a reptile. Fish have gills so that they can breathe under the water.
Some mammals live in the water and they do not have legs. The whale looks like a fish but it has lungs to breathe and that makes it a mammal. Dolphins are also mammals which look like fish. Some of us have seen animals in the wild and others have visited zoos to see animals. Some people have animals like a cat or a dog in their homes.
We liked learning about animals because they are interesting.
