The August 2022 issue of the newsletter from Launton, Oxfordshire goes to every household (over 630 copies) and is published online through issuu.com. The cover features a wildflower meadow on Grange Farm that is recovering from use by East-West Rail. There is a review (pages 33-35) of “A Musical Jubilee” show from Launton Village Players, with photos on pages 2, 35 and 43 and a report of the money raised on page 11. In the future is St Mary’s Fayre on 3 September at the Old Rectory (pages 31 and 24), and a What3Words Treasure Hunt from FoLPH on 25 September (page 7) and an update on the Parish Hall Project (pages 28-29). Pages 20-21 (with a photo) tell of a visit of far-flung Massey cousins to the village, and a meet-up with local family members. There is a regular report from our new District Councillors (pages 8-9), and regular reports from the Parish Council, the WI, the Over 60’s, and the Historical Society. There is also a full listing of the assets owned by the Parish Council (“our stuff”) on page 22.
