The June 2021 issue of the newsletter from the Oxfordshire village of Launton is published in print and distributed to every household in the village, and online through issuu.com. The cover of this 40-page issue shows the May Parish Council Meeting held in the open outside the Hall as the government failed to extend rules allowing Parish Councils to meet online. There is a report from East-West Rail, with two aerial photos of work in the village. As life slowly returns to close to normal there is news of the first major fundraiser for the Parish Hall since September last year (a Cake, Bake, Produce and Plants sale) and of The Village Players’ Summer Show in August. There are the results of the local elections in May, and also the fifth Launton Dog of the Month starring a Hungarian Vizsla called Bella, a list of road closures, and a brief piece from the Grumpy Old Men on traffic calming on the allotment approach road. And, for the second month running, colour adverts. (163 words)
