The July 2022 issue of the newsletter from Launton, Oxfordshire goes to every household (now over 630 copies) and is published online through issuu.com. The cover features a Lancaster bomber on the fly-past for Launton’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Photos throughout the issue show aspects of the Jubilee, including a listing of all 42 entries in the Really Royal Scarecrow Trail (pages 23-26), a report and photos of the Dog Show (pages 38-40), and a report of the Jubilee events (pages 27-28). Jubilee-related activity continues with the Village Players’ Summer Show (pages 11, 20, and back cover). There is an update on the Parish Hall project (page 6) including the charity registration of the Friends of Launton Parish Hall, and the submission of the planning application for work. The relaunch of the Watercolour Art Group (page 9), and the start of the Community Speedwatch programme (pages 32-33) join regular reports from the Parish Council (4-6), Launton WI (16-17), and the Historical Society (18-19).
