COMPETITIVE FIXTURES & TEAM SHEETS

Sports Portal (SOCS Sport & Co-curricular):https://sports.latymer-upper.org/

All fixtures and training sessions can be viewed on the Sports Portal (SOCS Sport & Cocurricular), which can be downloaded as an app on your mobile device.

Team lists and fixtures information will be available on here at least 48 hours before the fixture. Please note it is the students’ responsibility to check whether they have been selected and note the match details.

To access the Team Lists you will need to enter the following password: EdwardLatymer

Selection for sports teams is based on a combination of factors including: perceived current and future skill level, the ability to work as a team, effort and attitude as well as attendance at training. There are no trials for teams as all training sessions are a chance to prove oneself. It is likely that, throughout the season, there will be significant movement between teams as certain players develop. We regard this as healthy competition and encourage all students to give their best.

Commitment to Latymer Sports Teams

It is the School’s expectation that all students will want to represent Latymer in the major sports and those selected are expected to commit to all weekly training and matches (including at weekends). This should take priority over other out-of-school commitments. Permission for absence from any such session/fixture will only be granted in exceptional circumstances e.g. representational selection. Where this is sought, parents should apply, in writing, two weeks prior to the date in question via the coach of the team or to sport@latymer-upper.org

Match Cancellation or Venue Changes

Occasionally it may be necessary for changes to occur and these will be updated on the Sports Portal (SOCS Sport and Co-Curricular) as soon as possible. It may also be necessary to cancel or postpone matches and, if last minute, we will endeavour to tweet these changes from @LatymerSport. You can also view these tweets on the Sports Portal (SOCS Sport and Co-Curricular).
