So, in January, as part of our Martin Luther King Jr Day celebration, we had planned to honor some of our longtime community members for their contributions However, due to weather concerns, we postponed it

We also knew that we wanted to celebrate the rain gardens and posthumously honor community members for their environmental and social justice work.

Well, it all came together in March with the Local Heroes & Rain Gardens Event -- A Day of Celebration & Legacy

The weather was perfect! The day started with a tour of the newlyplanted Fred Jackson Way Rain Gardens and the 3-acre North Richmond Farm
