Mustangs of Las Colinas 40th Anniversary

FROM SPARKLING WATERSIDE EVENINGS TO MILESTONE ANNIVERSARIES, EXPLORE THE EVENTS, NEWS AND ACHIEVEMENTS THAT SHAPED 2024 IN LAS COLINAS.

LAS COLINAS LIGHT CLUB

This year, the Las Colinas Association introduced the Las Colinas Light Club, a sparkling series of waterside happy hour events along the Mandalay Canal. Held twice a month throughout the spring and fall, attendees indulged in live music, gondola rides courtesy of Gondola Adventures, bites and beverages. Venetian Terrace hosted a canalside bar and exclusively opened its doors for dinner during these special evenings. October and November’s events showcased culinary delights from featured restaurant partners Grimaldi’s Pizzeria and Cielito Mexican Flavors. Las Colinas Light Club will return in March 2025 to brighten your spring evenings once again.

5TH ANNUAL LAS COLINAS BOWL-A-THON BENEFITTING IRVING CARES

On Wednesday, September 4th, Pinstack was packed with excitement as twenty-eight teams and their enthusiastic fans hit the lanes for the 5th Annual Las Colinas Bowl-A-Thon, all in support of Irving Cares. With every lane sold out, the event raised over $29,000 thanks to community partners like Lane Legend sponsor Pinstack, Master of the Mantle Sponsor Structure Tone and King Pin sponsor QTS Data Centers. Highlights included a rematch between Irving Fire Chief Conley and Irving Police Chief Miller, with Chief Miller’s team taking the win. Guests enjoyed food, camaraderie and a raffle sponsored by Neighborly, with over 4,000 entries. The night wrapped up with support from over 30 volunteers, all benefiting Irving Cares’ mission to empower families through education, employment and financial literacy.

PAWS COLINAS 5K-9

Spring weather was in full force during the 2024 Paws Colinas 5K-9 on Saturday, April 20th. The race was canceled before it could even begin, but that didn’t stop runners and their pets from safely enjoying an impromptu gathering in the neighboring parking garage. Reservoir served breakfast tacos, The Pet Treat Truck delighted pups with endless biscuits and Heineken Silver kept spirits high with ice-cold drinks. Guests mingled with vendors, tested their pups’ agility at Zoom Room’s obstacle course and met service dogs in training from Canine Companions, the event’s beneficiary. With DJ beats, emcee Sybil Summers and bold brews from Third Sip Coffee, the rainy day turned into a memorable celebration.

TOTAL ECLIPSE IN THE PARK

The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse captivated North America as its path crossed Mexico and through the U.S. on Monday, April 8th. With Irving-Las Colinas being in the heart of totality, the cosmic milestone was celebrated with Total Eclipse in the Park presented by Visit Irving, in partnership with the Las Colinas Association and The City of Irving. Thousands of residents, many from out of state, and even international visitors experienced the celestial phenomenon together at Levy Event Plaza.

MUSTANGS OF LAS COLINAS 40TH ANNIVERSARY

On Friday, October 18th, the Mustangs of Las Colinas celebrated 40 years with a sunset toast on Williams Square Plaza. Under the dedicated direction and guidance of Mary Higbie, the momentous gathering brought together community leaders and the family of the Mustangs sculptor, the late Robert Glen, to honor the legacy and significance of this Las Colinas icon.

IRVING-LAS COLINAS HAS THE HOTTEST HOUSING MARKET IN DALLAS-FORT WORTH

The Dallas Business Journal, in partnership with the Business Journals network, launched its inaugural “Hottest Housing Markets” ranking. IrvingLas Colinas’ 75038 ZIP code ranked number one in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The Business Journals network used third-quarter listing and sales data from Intercontinental Exchange Inc. to gauge residential real estate momentum. Irving-Las Colinas’ 75062 and 75039 ZIP codes ranked 10th and 14th respectively.

LANDSEA HOMES ESTABLISHES DIVISION HQ IN IRVING-LAS COLINAS

Landsea Homes is setting up its new Dallas-Fort Worth division headquarters in Tower 1320 right here in Irving-Las Colinas. With a 14,725 square foot office space featuring a 3,000 square foot design studio, they’re bringing style and convenience to homebuyers. Move-in is slated for spring 2025.

HOLLMAN INC. LAUNCHES NEW COMPANY, MESPACE

Irving-Las Colinas based Hollman Inc. has launched a company called MeSpace. MeSpace will produce first-of-their-kind workstations that provide individuals with more control over their environment and the ability to customize a safe and secure workspace to meet their sensory needs.

NASDAQ PLACES REGIONAL LISTING OFFICE IN IRVING-LAS COLINAS

Stock exchange operator, Nasdaq Inc., announced plans to add a regional listing division to their existing office at 503 Riverside Dr. A representative for Nasdaq Inc. said the regional management structure for its Global Listings franchise would “deepen client connectivity, enhance focus and accelerate growth.”

NEW COFFEE SHOP COMING TO LAS COLINAS BLVD.

A new coffee shop with a west coast vibe is headed for Las Colinas. Coffee Cove will be located at 385 E. Las Colinas Blvd. #170. Expect a cozy hangout with specialty lattes, fresh bites and a vibe that brings SoCal warmth to Texas.

TAZIKI’S MEDITTERANEAN CAFE NOW OPEN

Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe opened their 100th location right here in Las Colinas on Tuesday, November 19th. Each meal is handcrafted with fresh and vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean. Taziki’s strives to serve and prioritize using food from American family farmers, locally sourced produce and authentic imported ingredients. HOTEL INDIGO LAS COLINAS OPENS ITS DOORS

Hotel Indigo Las Colinas is now open at 455 E. John W. Carpenter Fwy., and their KLEO Restaurant & Bar is serving up modern Mediterranean cuisine. Don’t miss Happy Hour from 2-6 p.m., Monday through Thursday and mark your calendars—brunch launches in January 2025.

KATHERINE & TENILLE BOUTIQUE OPENS IN GABLES WATER STREET

Katherine & Tenille, a woman-owned, oceanic boutique with treasures from around the world has opened in Gables Water Street. Located at 5200 N. O’Connor Blvd. #108, the shop sells clothes, accessories and unique housewares.

SIMPLY SOUTH RANKED AMONG THE BEST U.S. RESTAURANTS

The New York Times named Irving-Las Colinas’ Simply South on their Best Restaurants in America list. Simply South opened in December 2023 at 1001 MacArthur Park Dr. and serves vegetarian South Indian food and describes itself as a homage to Indian spices, herbs and vegetables.
