WASTEWATER MONITORING INSTRUMENTATION
When a world-leading specialist in connected technologies for the water-treatment sector required state-of-the-art wastewater monitoring instrumentation, Chemitec was approached to deliver a bespoke solution.

That’s why, when carrying out a project at a wastewater treatment plant in Cairate, northern Italy and in need of a dedicated probe for the measurement of pH, conductivity and redox, the Lacroix team turned to Chemitec’s expertise in water-monitoring equipment.
The probe would be used to monitor wastewater quality within a sewer drain, and following a site visit and inspection, the technical team from Chemitec
specified the S400 multi-parameter probe as the ideal solution.
The cutting-edge S400 probe was installed within a customised probe holder in AISI 304 stainless steel along with a threaded and perforated cover to protect the sensor and avoid the accumulation of dirt.
Once fitted, the S400 was connected to the client’s battery-powered datalogger to enable remote data acquisition and display alongside alarm notifications in the event of preset threshold values being exceeded.
Chemitec granted the use of the Modbus registers required for the software interface, which allowed configuration with the datalogger without the use of control units.
As well as equipment supply and technical support, Chemitec’s complete service offering included periodic calibration of the probe to ensure repeatable results over the long term.
