Upgrading to LS100 for venturipowered laundry dosing When Miami-based laundry equipment supplier Uniwasher, Inc. wanted to upgrade their customer’s dosing equipment, they challenged SEKO to provide a cutting-edge solution.

The site’s chemical injection provision had been reliably served by four SEKO Smart Series dosing units.

These four-pump peristaltic systems had performed with precision and consistency for many years, but the operator was looking to invest in a new system that would reduce connections and streamline their operation.

With more than 25 years’ experience serving businesses throughout South Florida, Uniwasher had a hard-earned reputation to protect and therefore wanted to provide its client with a stateof-the-art solution that would help them stand out from their competition.

The SEKO USA team visited site to assess the application and discovered that the operator was dosing five chemicals into multiple machines. SEKO’s technicians agreed that advancements in technology since the original installation meant the process could be more efficiently served by a single dosing unit and recommended the groundbreaking LS100 as the ideal solution.

The venturi-based LS100 is unique within the SEKO laundry range in that it does not rely on peristaltic or solenoid-driven

dosing, instead using water pressure to draw chemical.

This design achieves the same precision and consistency SEKO customers expect but with minimal maintenance demand courtesy of an absence of moving parts.

In fact, the only parts requiring servicing are its easy-to-clean filters and venturi cartridges.

LS100 is controlled through an intelligent 4.5” touchscreen colour display that offers real-time monitoring and programming, while the system comes as standard with a backlit formula selector unit and five-signal trigger interface for exceptional user management.

The system can handle up to 10 chemicals and is programmable for up to 31 formulas, which gave the operator the scope to provide their customers with a comprehensive service offering.

Meanwhile, LS100’s modular design was a significant attraction as it meant that site management had the option to quickly and easily add extra units to the existing installation to expand capacity and accommodate future growth.

The operator was also keen to improve efficiency by adding remote connectivity to their application, so LS100’s IoT capabilities ticked all their boxes for 24/7 access to application data.

LS100 is compatible with SEKO’s dedicated SekoWeb and SekoBlue apps, allowing the user to manage programming for various scenarios such as AFS duration, AFS binary, relay and manual formula selection for washers of various sizes.

These apps – also available via internet browser – provide wash statistics on demand including detailed reports on chemical usage, cycles, formulas and cost-per-load for unrivalled operational insight.
