Revealing groundbreaking products at IE Expo 2024

IE Expo is over for another year, and SEKO China is celebrating another successful appearance at this key event on the environmental services calendar, which was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from 18th to 20th April.

The show was the perfect opportunity for SEKO’s sales and technical personnel to welcome old friends and new faces as professionals from across the sector flocked to discover our state-of-the-art chemical dosing solutions for water-treatment processes.

Such is the depth of the SEKO range, these products were showcased across not one but two stunning stands.

As well as SEKO’s Elektra dosing pump controller and a range of solenoid and motor-driven pumps, visitors were treated to a dedicated controllers booth which featured our Kontrol Series control units – newly upgraded with IoT technology.

Those operating in the water-treatment sector were fascinated to discover the benefits of remote management for their applications, with the SEKO China team on hand to answer questions and provide demonstrations of these revolutionary products.

SEKO laundry innovations on show at CleanEx 2024

At the end of April, SEKO exhibited at CleanEx 2024, the UK’s only dedicated trade show for the laundry, dry cleaning and textile care sector, where we showcased our chemical dosing innovations to industry professionals from across Europe.

SEKO’s laundry range is now so comprehensive that we hosted two separate stands at this prestigious event on 28th and 29th April at Ascot Racecourse, Berkshire.

The main SEKO stand was home to a sample of SEKO chemical dosing units covering on-premise, commercial and industrial laundry, including the IoT-enabled Wash Series which has transformed the way operators manage their processes.

That was as well as a stand devoted to the awardnominated LS100 laundry system, where visitors discovered this venturi-powered innovation that has taken the world be storm since launching last year.

The SEKO UK team was on hand to welcome visitors to explore these and more cutting-edge laundry dosing solutions, talking them through the features that can elevate your processes.

SEKO UK delivers expert laundry training

SEKO UK’s dedicated training room is the ideal place for laundry professionals to receive expert guidance on installing, operating and maintaining our latest chemical dosing innovations.

This well-used space was once again in demand as technicians from laundry specialists Wolf Laundry and Brewer & Bunney visited to receive expert training on our revolutionary dosing solutions.

Hosted by Technical Manager Michael Tanner, the engineers gained invaluable hands-on experience of systems such as Smart OPL and our venturidriven LS100, which brings IoT-enabled control to on-premise laundry management.

Meanwhile, Mr Tanner was on hand to answer questions and offer his expertise in the systems’ uses within various applications across commercial and industrial laundry.

The training room is also home to solutions for surface cleaning, warewash and water treatment, meaning that, whatever your business, we’re able to give you the training you and your team need to get the most out of your SEKO equipment.

Multi-product training at SEKO Germany

Since opening earlier this year the training centre at SEKO Germany’s new Wiesbaden office has been abuzz with activity, and recently the team welcomed technical personnel from a major chemical manufacturer to learn about our cleaning and hygiene innovations.

The visit was the ideal opportunity to introduce the new LS100 dosing system, which has taken the industry by storm since launching last year.

The engineers learnt how LS100’s venturi-powered chemical injection vastly reduces maintenance requirement as well as the system’s Bluetooth connectivity which enables live and historical data to be accessed locally via smartphone.

Meanwhile, they enjoyed hands-on experience of surface-cleaning solutions such as our ProMax and ProWash systems as well as the WareDose range for warewash which now includes IoT-enabled models for remote connectivity.

Case study: LS100 brings venturi power to OPL dosing

Since launching last year, SEKO’s LS100 laundry dosing system has become the solution of choice for operators seeking high-precision, low-maintenance chemical dosing and IoTenabled device management.

For this PIGNAT training unit, which simulates a full-scale biological wastewater treatment plant, SEKO’s chemical dosing pump systems were the natural choice to achieve an accurate reproduction that would give students the most realistic experience.

As well as two solenoid-driven Tekna Series pumps, the unit is fitted with peristaltic Kronos pumps to recreate the chemical dosing processes that enable water to be properly treated prior to discharge or reuse.

WashMulti Peri for Clinex

When the manager of this laundry was looking to bring high-precision detergent dosing and IoT remote connectivity to their operation, SEKO’s industry-leading WashMulti Peri was selected as the ideal solution.

Strengthening relationships with our distributors

Building and maintaining long-term relationships with our partners is at the heart SEKO’s business, which is why we were delighted to welcome representatives from Chinese distributors Wuxi Chang’ershun Industrial Equipment Co Ltd and Nanjing Suchangyuan Technology Industrial Co Ltd to our Rieti headquarters.

This visit was an opportunity for the representatives - Mr. Zhao, Mr. Dai and Mr. Chang – to have in-person communication with SEKO’s Asia-Pacific specialists about our latest chemical dosing innovations for the water-treatment sector.

As well as learning about SEKO’s Kaizen principle of continuous improvement, which sees us constantly refine our systems to adapt to the latest market needs, the three visitors were especially interested in SEKO Group’s Italian General Scientific Research Centre.

One of many such facilities across SEKO’s global business, this centre uses scientific assessment to identify regional market demand and industry trends, helping the company remain at the pinnacle of system design to solve customers’ most common challenges.

Since entering the Chinese market 20 years ago, SEKO has become a leading domestic force in chemical dosing systems. As well as more than 300 employees, SEKO China has a purposebuilt factory in Hebei, five directly affiliated sales offices and a strong partner network that provides fast and convenient services to users in mainland China.

SEKO’s first employee returns to Rieti HQ

At SEKO’s Rieti headquarters this month, Regional Sales Manager Domenico Antico was delighted to make the acquaintance of Simonetta Murador, who holds the honour of being the company’s first employee.

Having joined the company in January 1978 as an administrator and providing 42 years’ loyal service, Mrs Murador has been enjoying a wellearned retirement since 2020.

Mrs Murador was in the area and visited our offices to catch up with old colleagues, demonstrating the lasting friendships formed by our employees which is testament to the supportive working environments found across our 22 global subsidiaries.

Video case study: Swimming pool water-treatment solution

When Greenline Water Treatment Services required a high-performance panel system for the control of swimming pool water-quality values, SEKO was approached to provide a bespoke solution.

The brief for the project, at UWC Atlantic College, South Wales, was to replace an outdated system that involved the manual correction of pH and dosing of chlorine, which was not only labour intensive but also exposed staff to harsh concentrate chemicals.

After meeting with Greenline Technical Director Aaron Green and carrying out a full assessment of the application, Jody Bowman, SEKO UK Water Treatment Sales Manager, recommended the Kontrol 800 Panel system as the ideal solution.
