A special visitor at SEKO Saudi Arabia

As SEKO continues to extend its global reach, CEO Stefano Folio brought news of exciting expansion plans during a recent visit to SEKO Saudi Arabia in the eastern city of Al Khobar.

SEKO Saudi Arabia was established in 2022, and, as well as following up on the new site’s progress, Mr Folio discussed the future development of the subsidiary. This will see SEKO Saudi Arabia evolve into a central manufacturing and export hub for the entire Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, including Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait. These plans reinforce SEKO’s confidence in the dedicated, passionate local team as well as our commitment to the wider Middle East market served by offices in the United Arab Emirates and Turkey.

Imparting knowledge and skills at SEKO Brasil

At SEKO Brasil’s São Paulo headquarters, the Technical Knowledge Acceleration Program (PACT) continues to bring the value of shared expertise to the country team.

This initiative sees employees from across all areas of the business present to their colleagues, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of SEKO’s products for a richer, more fulfilling work life.

As well as educating SEKO staff and enhancing customer service, these sessions are an invaluable experience for the speakers as we support their professional development.

The latest session included a presentation from Sales Assistant Alania Goncalves, who shared her chemical engineering expertise to explain water parameters such as pH, chlorine, conductivity and ORP and their functions in water treatment.

There was also training on the Kontrol Series from Key Account Sales Manager Alexandre Machado, who detailed the functions of our flagship controller range and its use across multiple water-treatment applications such as swimming pools, cooling towers and industrial processes.

SEKO pump systems support afforestation initiative

SEKO’s expertise is already well recognised in Saudi Arabia, evidenced by a key role in the Green Riyadh Project, one of the world’s most ambitious urban afforestation initiatives.

The Green Riyadh Project aims to plant 7.5 million trees across the Saudi capital, significantly increasing green space per capita, improving air quality, reducing ambient temperatures and enhancing overall quality of life.

The project is a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the nation’s commitment to sustainability and environmental transformation, and as part of this landmark venture SEKO will supply advanced fertiliser dosing systems for the pump rooms serving the Al Jazirah and Qurtubah neighbourhoods.

The equipment provided includes SEKO’s

Spring MS1 motor-driven diaphragm pump and Spring PS2 plunger piston pump, both known for their reliability, precision and suitability for demanding dosing applications.

SEKO also supplied our Elektra controller –fully compatible with the Spring range and putting chemical dosing data in the palm of the operator’s hand courtesy of connection to the SekoWeb app and online platform.

SEKO’s selection for this project reflects our commitment to sustainability and leadership in supporting eco-friendly urban development through efficient water and nutrient management technologies.

Keep following SEKO World for further news from SEKO Saudi Arabia as our presence in the region continues to grow and we bring more chemical dosing solutions to the market.

Kitchen hygiene at the touch of a button

The operator of this hotel kitchen surfacecleaning station now benefits from accurate and dependable chemical dilution courtesy of two SEKO ProMax units.

Installed at a site on the Spanish island of Formentera by cleaning and hygiene solutions specialist Quimidex, these two units offer push-button dispensing into spray bottles and mop buckets. The setup includes a four-product ProMax system that allows users to easily switch between bagged chemicals, with ProMax’s customisation making selection quick and simple to ensure the correct chemical is used for each application whether it’s floors, walls or countertops.

As well as keeping surfaces properly cleaned

and disinfected for the protection and wellbeing of guests, this minimises waste as part of a streamlined, efficient operation; essential in the competitive hotel industry on an island increasingly known for its luxury resorts.

ProMax is wall mounted and connects directly to a water supply, providing precisely diluted chemical solutions at up to 30 litres (8 gallons) per minute courtesy of a range of metering tips.

Meanwhile, the system’s compact design and modularity mean that extra units can be easily added as cleaning needs change and the surface-cleaning station is extended.

A hydrotherapy pool dosing solution for sports rehabilitation

With decades of experience providing solutions for the international sports scene, SEKO was the perfect choice when English football club Stoke City FC required a chemical dosing system to serve hydrotherapy pools at its training facility.

The project, led by wet-leisure specialist Buckingham Pools, was part of a major £12 million upgrade of the club’s Clayton Wood training complex including a state-of-theart pavilion to house wellness facilities for its first-team players.

Having partnered with us on many successful occasions, the team at Buckingham Pools didn’t hesitate to approach SEKO UK

Water-Treatment Sales Manager Jody Bowman for a proven chemical dosing pump to ensure hydrotherapy water quality was constantly maintained to the highest standard.

After visiting site to assess the application, Mr Bowman recommended Kronos 50 as the ideal solution. This silent-running peristaltic pump is equipped with a stepper motor that provides infinitely adjustable (0.01 - 100%) dosing, while advanced technology means the various models can reach flow rates of up to 15 l/h (at 0.1 bar) and dose at backpressures up to 4 bar (via HP-San tube).

With this exceptional chemical dosing precision and versatility at their fingertips, Stoke City’s operations team can have complete confidence that hydrotherapy water is safe and healthy – protecting player welfare as they strive to optimise recovery and maximise on-field performance.

PLG Group choose WashMulti Solenoid

As a professional supplier and installer of commercial washing machines, PLG Group partners with SEKO to ensure its chemical dosing equipment meets the exceptional standards its customers expect.

A recent PLG Group installation saw its engineers fit a SEKO WashMulti Solenoid system for a multi-machine healthcare site in France, with the client requiring the injection of detergent, fabric softener and additives into machines of various capacities.

WashMulti Solenoid’s high-precision, ultra-consistent dosing means that PLG Group’s customer can depend upon repeatable wash results plus reduced chemical, water and energy consumption.

As well as a more efficient and sustainable process, this results in excellent cost savings

over the long term, helping the client to be more competitive in a challenging marketplace.

Meanwhile, with SEKO’s world-renowned technical support, the PLG Group team can ensure their customer gets the most from their IoT-empowered system including the full range of features on the dedicated SekoWeb app and online platform.

That’s not to mention WashMulti Solenoid’s modular design, which allows the operator to quickly and easily add extra units to the existing installation as wash demand increases rather than replacing the entire system.

Serving a boutique hotel’s cleaning and hygiene needs

Cleaning and hygiene specialist Zep once again chose SEKO when its client, a boutique hotel in the Netherlands, required a multi-system installation for diluting and dosing chemicals in its kitchen.

The 25-bed Hotel De Koepoort is located in the Dutch town of Enkhuizen, 40 miles north of Amsterdam, and Zep was contracted to install a warewash dosing system and cleaning chemical dispenser to match the high quality of its products.

To serve the hotel’s hood-type dishwasher and ensure that crockery and glassware was spotlessly cleaned, Zep installed WareDose 35, a double-pump unit that doses detergent and rinse aid with SEKO’s trademark precision and consistency.

That’s thanks to the system’s three-roller design, powerful on-board microprocessor and patented auto-calibration technology, which maintains chemical solution concentration via a conductivity sensor.

Plus, by connecting to SekoWeb, the operator can adjust programmes and access wash data – such as chemical consumption per load – remotely and at their convenience for optimum flexibility and efficiency.

Meanwhile, to facilitate surface-cleaning routines, Zep fitted a four-product SEKO ProMax chemical dilution system. This customised, colour-coded unit allows staff to quickly and easily choose from multi-purpose cleaner, degreaser, glass cleaner and floor cleaner and dispense precisely into spray bottles.

With a range of metering tips included with the unit, the operator can refine dilution and maximise chemical efficiency, ensuring consistent results while preventing wastage.

LS100 to the rescue for a nursing home laundry

SEKO products can be found at the heart of any first-class laundry, which was again in evidence when the installers of a new nursing home in the French Pyrénées required a chemical dosing system to match the quality of their washers and chemicals.

The on-premise laundry, in the Ossau Valley commune of Louvie-Juzon, included a 27 kg Electrolux barrier washer using lowtemperature Ecolab chemicals, with accurate and consistent dosing essential to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of elderly residents.

That’s why laundry specialists JM Service Group – leading the project – turned to SEKO for a chemical injection system they could depend upon to help deliver repeatable results and minimal wastage.

SEKO was pleased to recommend its LS100 OPL unit, a system unique for its use of water pressure to control dosing rather than mechanical means. With no moving parts, the venturi-driven system is subject to less wear than solenoid and peristaltic pump systems and therefore maintenance requirement comprises little more than occasional venturi cartridge changes.

This, combined with SEKO’s trademark dosing precision and consistency, made LS100 a simple choice, especially with the added benefit of SekoBlue and SekoWeb app compatibility which allows the operator to manage programmes and access wash data via smart device.
