Grand Bay
I’d sailed in there a few months ago, and never
left. The town is full of fun-loving people, the
prices are reasonable, and when you want to get
a little decadent you can always pull into the
Grand Bay Hotel, where there is a great marina,
and spa, and the service is top notch. Mostly the
people in the marina were those with a little more
money available than the cruiser’s who lived on a
budget, like me.
The Grand Bay Hotel & Marina offered slips
for yachts up to and over 200 feet, as well as
beautiful pools, jacuzzi’s and restaurants from
the poolside service to four star dinning. It was
a little rich for my blood, but on an occasion I
found myself heading over for a little decadent
living. I’ve always said that I can’t recommend
decadence as a way of life, but it’s worked for
me!
My mind came back to the reality of my
flight when the stewardess was passing with the
drink cart and I opted for a cold Coo
