About The Moorings

Located just north of downtown Naples, The Moorings is one of the oldest and most upscale neighborhoods in the area. If you want to be on the Gulf or a short walk away, The Moorings is a great neighborhood for you. Originally purchased for $1.5 million in 1957, The Moorings was established by a development company headed by Milton Link. In 1958, lots first went on sale for the princely sum of $4,500 each. The original property owners' association was founded in 1962 with only 30 members. The Moorings has grown from the original 300 acres to more than 1,300 acres, with almost 2,000 homes and condominiums. It is known for its quiet streets shaded with beautiful Banyan, Ficus and Palm trees. Residents enjoy a private country club and beach park. Access to Gulf of Mexico via Doctors Pass is enjoyed from many waterfront properties located along Moorings Bay, Bowline Bay and Compass Cove. The Moorings has survived economic slumps, Hurricanes, and time to become one of the most desirable areas in the world to live. You can soon be calling a luxury waterfront condo at The Moorings home! Let Larry Roorda put his years of experience and his vast knowledge of The Moorings to work for you. He can help you find the perfect waterfront home.

About Larry For more than 30 years, I have been passionate about selling and marketing real estate. I believe the same personal qualities that have contributed to my successes are the same qualities that led me into the real estate field. As a graduate of the University of Wyoming, with a degree in business management, I wanted a profession that had no boundaries, rewarded initiative, and gave me the opportunity to help people. I wanted a position in which success is dependent only upon one’s efforts. In real estate sales and marketing, I found what I wanted. I am proud to represent Naples, and its real estate. I take great pride in my continual commitment to researching and analyzing our housing market. It affords me the opportunity to represent my clients with confidence – as I would want done for myself and my family. For the first three years of my career, I worked as a Broker/Associate in my hometown of Loveland, CO. Then, my wife, Cindy, and I began to think about exactly where we wanted to make our home and raise our family. After thorough research, we chose Naples for its business opportunities, the beach, sunny weather, the community and the activities available for our children. My family is a very important part of the life I have chosen.

“Larry is the most professional, efficient and caring REALTOR we ever dealt with. Those are high marks considering we’re in the business,” said Vic and Margie Mittelberg of Highland Park, IL. “Larry’s a dedicated, knowledgeable, professional person, and it was a pleasure to work with him,” said Kurt and Rhonda Feero of McMinnville, OR.
