At Macon Industries,
we fabricate and form all our skid bases in-house, ensuring unmatched quality and reliability. Designed to support shacks, sloops, and pump shacks, our skid bases run the full length of the equipment for maximum stability. Cross members are seamlessly incorporated into the structure, sitting flush and solidly welded into the frame.
To withstand harsh conditions, we integrate hardened steel runners within the skids, reducing wear and improving traction - especially in icy environments. Built for rough terrain, our skid bases provide the solid foundation necessary for safety and stability. Because at Macon, we know that good equipment starts with a rock-solid base.
HD Shack
Macon’s most popular drill shack, the Heavy Duty Shack, is built on an 11′ 6″ oversized skid base with taller skids for enhanced ground clearance. Designed for maximum efficiency, it includes a 3′ slide-out on the helper’s side for added workspace and features optional aluminum doors on the driller’s side for easy access to your drill’s engine and hydraulic power pack. Equipped to support a rod handler and rod rack, this shack also offers customizable options like hydraulic leveling cylinders and LED lighting. With its robust construction and tailored features, it’s the ultimate solution for your drilling operations.
Standard Shack
Macon Industries’ Standard Duty Shack is a cost-effective yet luxurious base model designed to elevate your mineral exploration projects. Known for its user-friendly design, offering optional features like hydraulic leveling jacks, 36" sliding helpers, and full insulation packages. Built for reliability, this shack ensures consistent performance season after season, making it the perfect blend of affordability and functionality.
