Now you can reclaim the summer and your sanity with a private luxury summer camp experience, complete with exclusive amenities not available to the general public. Camp directors plan the activities, giving a break to weary parents who have exhausted their bag of tricks. The programs can be customized to your family’s interests and are offered in a variety of locations, from the beach to the mountains. If your need to get out on the water cannot be contained, we have some incredible idyllic private yacht journeys to rescue your summer vacation. It’s been a rough year, but there’s still a chance to make the most of it.

So summer camp is canceled this year, right?

Well, not necessarily. With private luxury summer camp experiences, our clients can make the most of the summer in locations throughout the U.S., Caribbean and Mexico.

Camp directors design programs that can be tailored to age groups and interests. For an extra fee—plus travel, room and board—dedicated counselors can come along and keep the kids occupied during the day so parents can take a break to catch up on work or simply get a moment’s peace after months of planning children’s activities during the unexpected school holiday. If you’d prefer to recapture a bit of your youth and join in the fun, all the better. If you’re traveling with extended family or family friends, counselors—who are tested for COVID-19 before greeting your family—are more than happy to accommodate groups.

Camp packages are based on one-, twoor three-week sessions, with standard and gold levels. Standard packages offer a choice of preset activities, while gold packages allow for personalized activities based on family interests. The directors can really get creative as they get to know your family and design unforgettable experiences.

And if you choose to bring a counselor along, he or she can create activities on the fly.

Activities vary by location, but common itineraries include horseback riding, archery, canoeing and cooking classes. For a classic ranch experience, camp packages are available in conjunction with stays at Amangiri and The Lodge at Blue Sky in Utah; Dunton Hot Springs, 4

Dunton River Camp and Rawah Ranch in Colorado; The Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming; Mustang Monument Eco Resort in Nevada; The Resort at Paws Up in Montana; and Stillpoint Lodge in Alaska.

Closer to home for those in the Northeast are the programs offered at Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod, FoxFire Estate in Maryland, Lake Kora in Upstate New York, The Lodge at Woodloch in northeastern Pennsylvania and Watch Hill Inn in Rhode Island. In Florida, the service is available at Acqualina Resort & Residences and The RitzCarlton, Orlando.

Internationally, the summer camp is available at Beach Enclave in Turks & Caicos, Casa de Campo and Eden Roc Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico and Nizuc, Rosewood Mayakoba, Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, Las Ventanas al Paraiso, Villas Del Mar and One&Only Palmilla in Mexico.

Resorts along coasts add in water-based activities such as whale-watching and snorkeling, while wide open spaces open the opportunity for hot air ballooning and ATV rides. Whether parents participate during the day or take time for themselves, each evening includes a family dinner and activity.

Speaking of getting out on the water, The Moorings offers private yacht charters throughout the Caribbean and Americas. What better way to socially distance than on your own yacht for the week. Experienced sailors can even skipper themselves, while those more inclined to

relaxation can hire a fully crewed yacht complete with captain and chef as guests explore hidden coves and befriend the people who call these beautiful places home. With more than 400 yachts in the fleet, The Moorings can match you with the right sail or power catamaran to whisk you away to paradise.

The whole family might be at their wits’ end after the overwhelming changes of the last few months, but a getaway with plenty of space and activity can be just the right formula to bring everyone back together and make the summer the highlight of a trying year.

DESIGN YOUR CAMP EXPERIENCE: SO HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?

STEP ONE: CHOOSE A LOCATION Choose a location or experience from the options located at the bottom of this page and contact your travel advisor. If you do not have a travel advisor, visit our contact page and fill out the form, and a travel advisor will reach out to you within 24 hours. There is also sample pricing of popular options at each of the locations based on a 7 night stay, but we can of course customize this to the length and accommodation option you prefer.

STEP TWO: DESIGN YOUR TRIP Design your trip with your travel advisor and decide which additional services you would like to add to your experience. For each destination there is a standard and a gold camp director option. For the standard option there is a pre-built menu of activities that you and your family can walk through with your camp director and travel advisor to choose from, as well as a gold option where we can completely customize new experiences around your family’s wants and needs. The costs of these two options is below. In addition, there are also camp supplies that go along with the activities on the itinerary that cost approximately $700 per week. Shipping and some activities/excursions could add a small additional cost.

STEP THREE: CHOOSE ADDITIONAL SERVICES If you would like to take the camp experience a step further, we have an option at most locations to send a dedicated professional counselor along with you on your trip if you need to work during the trip or just want someone there along side you to enhance the camp experience. These dedicated counselors are available to work with your family/families from 9 am-5 pm daily. Rates begin at $750 per week plus travel, room and board (gratuity optional).
