LA PORTE-BAYSHORE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

FROM

2022 Officers

Chairman of the Board NELSON RODRIGUEZ Chairman-Elect

Let me say it! “Let’s Go Astros”:

By the time I am writing this letter the Houston Astros have made it to the “World Series” once again. I’m sure there are a lot of happy campers and others not so happy. Overall I am enjoying the weather most of the time. The cooler season is here and with it many activities and prepara tions for the Holidays. I encourage each one of you to take a moment to appreciate what you have and to reflect on all the good things and also the not so good things that you have experienced this year 2022. Believe me, it will be gone before we know it.

My heart and prayers go to the people in Florida where the devastating hurricane Ian have caused severe grief to the residents of the coastal area. Please consider supporting where you can. I also pray for the families that were recently affected by yet another “school shooting” in St. Louis Mis souri. There is so much that we cannot control, so prayer is our only resource.

I would like to express my appreciation to those who continue supporting our Chamber events. Thanks for what you do and the level of care and

importance that you put on this community. Please consider participating on the following upcoming events as an attendee or sponsor:

1. Christmas on Main - Dec 1, 2022

2. Annual Banquet - Jan 25, 2023

Take a look into advertising in our Annual Chamber Magazine. Also ask about the Chamber Insider Newsletter.

I pray and hope for your continuous success. Please continue to seek for ways to get involved in the Chamber’s activities. We need to ensure that you are getting what your business needs from us. Please let us know, give us feedback on what you would like to see happening.

Blessings to all,

Nelson Rodriguez

The weather was spectacular, and we had over 50 academic, community, and industry partners aboard the Sam Houston. We learned more about our region’s maritime education efforts and workforce develop ment initiatives and had an opportunity to network and make a few new connec tions.

The chamber wishes to congratulate Beth Brady on her retirement! Beth is a cherished servant leader who has tirelessly poured back into our community over the years. Aside from insuring many local businesses and individuals, she is heavily involved in the La Porte-Bayshore Cham ber, Rotary Club, LPHS Interact Club, and so much more!
