Female equestrian sports has been a part of the Olympic Games since the Athens Olympics in 1896. With more than 50 countries represented, the number of female equestrian competitors in Olympics 2021 was at an all-time high.

In the twentieth century, very few Indian women could have claimed to have held strong sway over the public, in India and abroad. Maharani Gayatri Devi was one of them.

The International Ladies Tournament organized by Jaipur Riding and Polo Club was won by team Ireland after a head-to-head final match against Czech Republic.
