UPDATING ATMS

This remodel is part of an ongoing process as we look to update other locations to provide you with greater convenience and improve your banking experience.

We’ve begun the process of replacing our ATMs with state-of-the-art models. The new machines are faster, more intuitive to use, and offer more features. Because they incorporate newer, more flexible technology, they’ll allow us to continue adding new features without having to completely replace the machines.

You could say our ATMs are now like Teslas, because software upgrades and new features can easily be downloaded.

We’re fine with that. You don’t need to think about us because we’re always thinking about you. We’re constantly thinking about how we can improve things for you, how we can do more for you, and we’re also looking ahead to anticipate your needs and investing in your future and our mutual success. This month, we’re going to share with you some of the ways we’re doing that.

EXPANDED CONTACT CENTER SERVICES We recently expanded services within our Member Contact Center. Of course, you can still call us for assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and speak with a live human being. But now, we’re able to assist you in more ways after regular business hours.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE CONTINUED We’ll keep you updated on our progress and how this change will affect you. But this upgrade is necessary for us to remain competitive, so that we can continue to bring you improvements and innovations.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, and weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., we can now help you with things like resetting your online banking access, temporarily increasing transaction limits, or releasing temporary holds on recently deposited funds. Basically, we’re making it easier for you to get what you need more quickly, so that you can spend more time focusing on other things.

MORE TO COME We aren’t done yet when it comes to investing in your future. We’re putting resources behind developing more accounts, loan programs, and benefits that are uniquely designed to meet the needs of the law enforcement community. Regardless of what stage of your career or journey you’re in, we’re striving to bring you things that make a meaningful difference in your life and that you won’t find elsewhere.

COMPUTER SYSTEM UPGRADE A major undertaking for our credit union is an upgrade to our main computer system, slated for completion in late 2022. This is the system that handles and stores information about the thousands of transactions we process daily. Replacing this system with a new one entails moving an enormous amount of data, and it requires a significant investment of time and money.

In return, however, we’ll have many advancements, including better integration with other systems.

This will enable us to provide you with more services and conveniences in the future.

It’s ok if you aren’t thinking about these things as you go about your daily life. You may not even consciously notice when we make improvements. That’s ok too, because it’s our job to think about these things for you and focus on tomorrow, so that your current and future needs are always met in a smooth and seamless way.

Rosalind Curry is a Los Angeles Police Department Police Officer and has been a Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union member for 27 years.

Her Credit Union volunteer service began in 2011 when she was appointed as a Volunteer-at-Large. Mrs. Curry served on the Supervisory Committee from January 2012 to February 2015, when she became a member of the Board of Directors. In addition to her role as director, she serves as Chair of the Governance & Director Development Committee. She is also a member of the Loan Advisory and Information Security & Technology Committees.

In her professional career, Mrs. Curry joined LAPD in 1994 and has served as Volunteer Coordinator, Peer Support Coordinator, Researcher in Planning and Research Division, Training Division, Sergeant School Coordinator, Medical Liaison, Family and Medical Leave Coordinator and Funeral Coordinator. She also has been a member of the Department’s Honor Guard for over 21 years.

Julie Raffish has 24 years of experience working as an attorney for the City of Los Angeles, both as a prosecutor and as General Counsel to the Los Angeles Police Department, a position she has held since June 2000. She began her volunteer service with Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union in 2013.

Ms. Raffish became a member of the Board of Directors in 2015 and presently serves as Board Vice Chair. She also serves as a member of the Executive, Loan Advisory, Information Security & Technology, and Member & Industry Relations Committees.

Ms. Raffish has not only served as legal advisor to the LAPD for most of her professional career, but also comes to the Credit Union with the perspective of being an LAPD family member, as she is married to an active sworn member of the Department. Julie graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders – Speech Pathology, and completed all coursework toward a Master’s Degree in Special Education, with an emphasis in Early Intervention. She received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law.

IMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION CONTINUED Lorie Anne Taylor is a retired Los Angeles Police Department Detective Supervisor who presently serves on Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors.

She has been an LAPFCU member for more than 33 years.

Her Credit Union volunteer service began in 1999 when she was appointed as a Volunteer-at-Large. Ms. Taylor served on the Supervisory Committee from January 2006 to February 2010, when she became a member of the Board of Directors.

She served as the Board’s Chair for six years. She presently serves as Chair of the Loan Advisory Committee and also serves on the Executive and Member & Industry Relations Committees.

In her professional career, Ms. Taylor joined LAPD in 1988 and served as a Police Officer until 1996. She was then promoted to Detective and worked in a variety of assignments until she retired as a Detective Supervisor in 2009. She continued her law enforcement career in 2010 at Burbank Airport Police Department. Ms. Taylor retired in 2018 as Sergeant/Watch Commander.

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from California State University Fullerton, and has a State of California, Peace Officer’s Standards and Training Supervisory Certificate.
