This course offers a wide range of subjects that provides students with the opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge of the dynamic world of business. The course provides students with the opportunity to learn about the role of technology in today’s business world.

Who should apply for this course? • This course provides the opportunity to obtain the most up to date administration and IT skills necessary for a busy business environment. • The course provides students with the opportunity to produce financial statements, using the most up to date accounting software.

Progression Options Students who successfully complete this Level 5 course have the option to continue their studies at the Centre, progressing to our QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Business.

Students who have satisfied the criteria set by the CAO process for progression to third level education, may secure a place in the National Universities of Ireland and Technological Universities on various Degree Programmes. Alternatively, students may progress to an Accounting Technicians course (ATI), or to an IPASS (Irish Payroll Association) course. Entry Requirements • Leaving Certificate or equivalent standard of education. • Abbeyleix FETC welcomes applications from mature students.

Applicants are assessed on relevant life and work experience. • Applicants are required to complete an interview and online assessment before commencing a course. • Good basic computer skills.

Cost There are no registration or tuition fees payable to Abbeyleix Further Education and Training Centre. However please note cost of materials is approximately €100 to include books and materials.
