David J. Galas
1944 - 2023
David J. Galas, Sr., father to Lane United FC Managing Director Dave Galas and Head Coach John Galas, died Saturday May 27, 2023 from brain cancer, with his sons by his side.
David was a founding member of LUFC and a generous donor to Eugene Civic Alliance.
He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

JohnholdsaMaster’sDegreeinFootballIndustriesfromthe UniversityofLiverpooland,ofcourse,wasaco-founderof LaneUnitedFCandtheoriginalHeadCoach/Sporting Directorfrom2013-2018.

CesargrewupinSanFranciscowhereheattended S.F.StateUniversityandplayedfortheirmen’s soccerteam.HeearnedhisBachelor’sdegreein kinesiologyin1995beforemovingtoEugeneand earninghisMaster’sdegreeinathletictrainingatthe UniversityofOregonin1998.Inadditiontoserving asLaneUnited’sAthleticTrainer,hecurrentlyworks astheCertifedAthleticTrainerforNorthEugene HighSchool.
