Get your Trout Stamp and head to Lanesboro for the trout opener in April for a chance to catch rainbow, brook and brown trout in some of the best streams in the country.
Stroll through the downtown area as Lanesboro stores, restaurants, inns and other businesses extend their hours and prepare to greet you for another busy season with warm hospitality and excitement.
Check out the produce and crafts at the Farmers’ Market, located in Sylvan Park.

Summer
The streets of Lanesboro are bustling with activity during the summer months. Visitors flock to town to enjoy biking, fishing and hiking, which are available three seasons of the year. In the summer, it’s time to hit the river and enjoy the refreshing waters that flow through town.
Grab a tube, canoe or kayak and paddle your way through the countryside, past pastures and homesteads, through bluffs and forests.
Cool down with a picnic or grab a meal on one of our restaurants’ outdoor patios.
Seek out an adventure at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center where one can enjoy a high ropes course, mountain bike trail and a network of hiking trails.
Step into the phone booth by the Lanesboro Museum and learn more about the town’s history and the people who have lived here.
Play pickleball, basketball, tennis in our park, or climb the jungle gym and relax on the swing. Stop and smell the flowers in our beautiful parks.
Visit with the local community members and make new friends as you create your own Lanesboro story.
